A decomposing body was found.

On the evening of June 17th, speaking with Thanh Nien newspaper , Mr. Khuong Van Oanh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghia Tru commune (Van Giang district, Hung Yen province), said that the authorities are currently   Verify the identity of a body recently discovered in the area.

According to the leaders of Nghia Tru commune People's Committee, at approximately 3:30 PM on June 16th, an employee of a network provider was pulling cables to install internet for a household in the area. While pulling the cables through a deserted plot of land in Hamlet 14, the employee discovered a decomposing body.

"This land was reclaimed for a real estate project, but it hasn't been implemented yet. The area is overgrown with weeds, and few people pass by. Several days prior, residents smelled a foul odor but thought it was from decaying animals," Mr. Oanh informed.

The incident was subsequently reported to the Van Giang District Police, the Hung Yen Provincial Police, and the Institute of Criminal Science of the Ministry of Public Security .

At the scene, it was estimated that the victim had died approximately 20 days prior. Only the clothes were on the body; there were no identification documents, and no other belongings were found around the scene.

After samples were taken for testing, identification, and investigation purposes, the victim's body was immediately buried by the local authorities in the cemetery of village 14.
