Developing tourism in Xuan Son

Located in the core area of ​​Xuan Son National Park and blessed with many stunning natural landscapes, Xuan Son commune in Tan Son district has favorable conditions for developing community tourism . In recent years, with the attention of all levels and sectors, community tourism in Xuan Son has increasingly developed, contributing to improving the lives of the local people.

Tourists can experience exploring the fascinating natural landscapes at Xuan Son National Park.

Comrade Ha Thi Yen - Chairwoman of the People's Committee of Xuan Son commune, said: Xuan Son National Park has the advantage of a diverse ecosystem, abundant resources, a large area of ​​special-use forest, many caves and beautiful natural scenery, making it favorable for Xuan Son to develop community tourism associated with ecotourism. Therefore, the Party committee and the commune government have identified this as an important direction to sustainably reduce poverty for the people.

In recent years, thanks to the attention and investment from the province and district, the commune's infrastructure has been renovated, upgraded, and improved; the mindset of the people regarding tourism has changed in a positive direction, with systematic investment, thus attracting many tourists. In particular, many good films on television with the National Park as a setting have contributed to promoting and attracting tourists to Xuan Son.

Currently, in addition to the Xuan Son National Park Tourism Center, local people have invested in building 11 homestay-style apartments with a total of 47 self-contained rooms and 12 communal rooms, capable of accommodating 800 overnight guests. The main tourism services identified for investment and development are community tourism, ecotourism, resort tourism, and visits to the National Park's flora and fauna, caves, etc.

Besides providing accommodation and meals, many households in Xuan Son have switched to raising local specialties such as multi-toed chickens, black pigs, buffaloes, and cows, or growing high - value crops like wild vegetables and bamboo shoots... both to supply restaurants and as souvenirs for tourists to buy.

In just the first six months of the year, Xuan Son received over 8,000 visitors, with more than 1,000 staying overnight, generating significant income for local residents.

To facilitate tourism to Xuan Son and connect with the Long Coc tea hill area in Long Coc commune, two projects, with a total investment of over 350 billion VND, have recently been constructed and put into operation: a road connecting the Long Coc tea hill tourism development area to Xuan Son National Park (the section from Long Coc to Xuan Dai) and the Tan Phu - Xuan Dai road (connecting to Xuan Son National Park). These projects have helped shorten travel distances and improve access to the tourist area.

In the coming period, the locality will continue to promote awareness among the people about the position and role of eco-tourism, support the community in protecting the forest and pristine landscape of the Xuan Son tourist area, replicate homestay models; develop diverse types of services to attract tourists; encourage people to invest in developing various types of plants and specialties; build transportation infrastructure to serve tourism...
