(Chinhphu.vn) - On April 1st, at the Party Central Headquarters, the Politburo and the Secretariat listened to a report on updating knowledge and giving opinions on perfecting the thematic report on breakthroughs in science, technology development, innovation, and digital transformation.

After listening to the thematic report on breakthroughs in science , technology, innovation, and digital transformation, General Secretary To Lam stated that updating knowledge on the thematic report is part of the Politburo and Secretariat's work plan and program. This is a concrete activity affirming the highest determination of the Party and State leaders to successfully implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in national science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. To successfully lead, direct, and organize the implementation of this Resolution, the Politburo members and Secretariat members are at the forefront of updating their knowledge in this new, challenging, and constantly changing field.

According to the General Secretary, developing science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation are mandatory choices and the only path to national development and improving people's lives. This must be strongly implemented to achieve two top goals: better social governance and integration into production to increase labor productivity. However, until now, the focus has been primarily on social governance, with insufficient attention paid to integrating these technologies into production to increase labor productivity. In reality, private enterprises are very quick to adapt to these issues and implement them flexibly and effectively, contributing to improved corporate governance, data management, and increased productivity and product quality; therefore, it is necessary to closely follow practical realities to broaden the approach.

At the meeting, the members of the Politburo and the Secretariat contributed further ideas to finalize the thematic report on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

Concluding the meeting, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that the thematic report on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation is very important, contributing to a full and profound understanding of Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo.

The General Secretary requested the Government to incorporate the opinions of the Politburo and the Secretariat to further refine the report for the 11th Central Committee Meeting of the 13th Party Congress according to schedule. The report should focus on updating new global trends in science, technology, digital transformation, and innovation; and identify specific issues and solutions for implementation to overcome limitations, avoiding general statements, in order to achieve unity in understanding and action and create strength for the entire political system.

The General Secretary instructed the Central Office, the standing agency of the Central Steering Committee on Science, Technology Development, Innovation and Digital Transformation, to incorporate the opinions expressed at the meeting, supplement and refine the programs and plans to advise on the effective implementation of Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo.
