On October 5th, Mr. Y Ngau Nie, Deputy Chief of the Office of the People's Committee of Buon Don District ( Dak Lak ), signed a notice summarizing the conclusions of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Don District regarding the meeting on October 2nd, concerning the recruitment, assignment, and rotation of teachers in the district, which had been reported by the press.
According to the announcement, Mr. Pham Trung Nghia, Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Don District, has seriously criticized the Head of the Internal Affairs Department of Buon Don District for shortcomings in advising on the reassignment of English teachers at Le Loi Primary School.
Mr. Nghia also requested the Department of Internal Affairs of Buon Don District to report, review, and clarify the responsibilities of individuals involved regarding the lack of coordination in advising the District People's Committee on the deployment of English teachers at Le Loi Primary School.
Le Loi Primary School (Buon Don District, Dak Lak Province), where the only English teacher was transferred to another school, is experiencing a negative impact on students' learning.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Don District also requested the District's Department of Internal Affairs to take the lead and coordinate with the District's Department of Education and Training and other relevant agencies and units to advise the District People's Committee on establishing an inspection team to review schools under the management authority of the District People's Committee regarding any remaining shortcomings or localized teacher shortages and surpluses, and to report the results to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Don District no later than October 15th for consideration and resolution.
As Thanh Nien Newspaper reported, on August 14th, Mr. Pham Trung Nghia, Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Don District, signed a decision to transfer Ms. PTHTr, the only English teacher at Le Loi Primary School (Tan Hoa commune), to work at Ama Trang Long Primary and Secondary School (Ea Bar commune).
After the transfer, H. Buon Don did not assign another English teacher to replace Ms. Tr., leaving hundreds of students at Le Loi Primary School disadvantaged, without an English teacher for the new school year.
Le Loi Primary School had to hire another teacher to teach English and had to raise funds through social mobilization to pay for this teacher. However, even hiring a teacher was not enough to meet the required teaching hours according to the curriculum. It wasn't until September 20th that the People's Committee of Buon Don District transferred an English teacher from another school to teach at Le Loi Primary School.
Speaking with a reporter from Thanh Nien Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Huu Truyen, Head of the Internal Affairs Department of Buon Don District, admitted that there were shortcomings, haste, and subjectivity in the review of teacher transfer applications in the area, causing negative public opinion.
