Luong Nhu Hoc Lantern Street (Cho Lon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) is known as a "paradise" of lanterns, a place that preserves the Mid-Autumn Festival memories of countless generations of city residents.
For over half a century, Luong Nhu Hoc lantern street has been an indispensable part of Ho Chi Minh City's Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations.
The atmosphere here is always lively and bustling, especially when night falls. People from all over flock here, from small families bringing their children to buy lanterns to young couples looking for a spot to take記念 photos and explore the unique culture of the Chinese community in Cholon.
On her first visit to the lantern street, Ms. Phung Nhi (Ho Chi Minh City) chose to buy a small lantern for 30,000 VND to take photos: "I think there are many beautiful photo spots here, especially the lively atmosphere, which is perfect for bringing my children here to play during the Mid-Autumn Festival."
Although there is still more than half a month until the Mid-Autumn Festival, many families have already brought their children to the lantern street to have fun.
Choosing to buy a star-shaped lantern for 30,000 VND for her daughter, Ms. Vo Minh Hoang (Ho Chi Minh City) shared: "With the Mid-Autumn Festival approaching, my husband and I took our daughter to visit the lantern street so she could experience the festival for the first time. Taking her to visit also allowed me to relive my childhood."
This year's lantern street features a wide variety of designs and prices, ranging from 25,000 VND to 250,000 VND. Velvet wire lanterns cost 50,000 VND each. Star-shaped lanterns cost 30,000-40,000 VND each. Lion-shaped lanterns cost 150,000 VND each. Small cellophane paper lanterns cost 25,000 VND, while larger ones cost from 70,000 VND each. Battery-operated lanterns are priced above 100,000 VND each.
In addition, the lantern street also has game stalls such as dart throwing.
Parking on the lantern street costs between 10,000 and 20,000 VND per motorbike.
