Phu Tho warns of heavy rain, tornadoes, lightning

According to the Northern Mountainous Region Hydrometeorological Station, last night and this morning (July 23), there was moderate rain in some places in the province, heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places. The rainfall from 7pm on July 22 to 7am on July 23 was generally 16-60mm, some places had high rainfall such as: Ha Hoa 81mm, Nang Yen 73mm, Van Lang 72mm, Hanh Cu 66mm, Dong Linh 65mm.

From July 23-24, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms in many places in the province, with some places having very heavy rain with total rainfall of 130mm, some places over 200mm. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind. From July 25, heavy rain in the province will gradually decrease.

Warning level of natural disaster risk due to heavy rain: Level 1. Heavy rain has the risk of flash floods, landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas. Beware of heavy rain in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. Beware of lightning and strong winds during thunderstorms that endanger human life and damage property.
