Phu Tho remembers the words of the Leader.

Uncle Ho's admonition served as a rallying cry, creating the strength of national unity, enabling the entire Party, people, and army to drive out foreign invaders and fight for national independence.

Bearing in mind his teachings, for the past 70 years, Phu Tho province, along with the rest of the country, has achieved many great accomplishments, contributing to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

His words resound throughout the land.

On the morning of September 18, 1954, Uncle Ho traveled from Dai Tu district ( Thai Nguyen province) to Phu Tho. Near noon, he visited Phu Tho town to learn about the living conditions and work of the people after peace was restored.

Afterward, he went to the evacuation site of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee Office in Quang Trung village, Thanh Ha commune, Phu Tho town. He inquired about the general situation of the province and the situation of Prince Souphanouvong when the Prince passed through Phu Tho.

The person assigned the task to the Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office was to report to the Provincial Party Committee on the instructions given by Uncle Ho: It is necessary to assist families of wounded soldiers, martyrs, and soldiers facing difficulties; urban management and road repairs must be done well; and the principle of communication between subordinates and superiors must be ensured.

On the evening of September 18, 1954, Uncle Ho arrived at Hung Temple and stayed overnight. On the morning of September 19, he, along with Comrade Song Hao – Political Commissar of the Vanguard Army Division, Comrade Nguyen Van Thanh, and several security personnel, visited the historical sites.

Visitors come to visit the Lower Temple, Thien Quang Pagoda, Middle Temple, Upper Temple, the Mausoleum of King Hung, and the Well Temple.

At approximately 10:00 AM on September 19th, President Ho Chi Minh met with officers and soldiers representing the Vanguard Army Division at the Well Temple. There, he had a cordial conversation with the officers and soldiers, during which he instructed them: "The Hung Kings had the merit of founding the nation; we, their descendants, must together preserve it."

His admonition still resonates today. It serves as a rallying cry, calling upon the entire Party, army, and people to unite and rise up to drive out foreign invaders, protect the beautiful land, and safeguard the territorial integrity of the Vietnamese nation.

His words not only affirm the immense contributions of the Hung Kings and generations of ancestors in building and defending the nation, but also serve as a reminder to the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army about the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and the preservation and protection of the Fatherland.

Bearing in mind his teachings, throughout the glorious journey of the nation, the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army are determined to uphold the independence, sovereignty , and territorial integrity of the sacred Fatherland, protect the revolutionary achievements of the Party, protect the regime, and protect the people; maintain the great unity, overcome all difficulties and challenges together, maintain a peaceful environment, and build our country to become increasingly prosperous and beautiful, with people's lives becoming increasingly comfortable and happy.

For the past 70 years, the military and people of Phu Tho have always stood shoulder to shoulder, joining forces with compatriots and soldiers nationwide to achieve great accomplishments, making a worthy contribution to the cause of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

During the struggle against the US for national liberation, Phu Tho province mobilized nearly 9% of its workforce for combat and combat support, with nearly 93,000 young people joining the army and over 4,000 participating in the youth volunteer force; it also mobilized millions of man-days for transporting, evacuating, and hiding goods, repairing bridges and roads, filling bomb craters, and maintaining vital transportation routes…

Phu Ha Industrial Park in Phu Tho town is one of the modern industrial parks, ready to welcome investors.

In combat and in support of combat, the army and people of Phu Tho directly fought in 783 battles, shooting down 86 American aircraft. During the wars to defend the northern and southwestern borders of the Fatherland, the sons and daughters of Phu Tho were always present on the fierce battlefields, holding their weapons firmly to fight against the invaders, joining the army and people of the whole country in driving out the invaders, protecting the territorial integrity and reunifying the nation.

Entering the process of national reconstruction and building socialism, the Party Committee, government, and people of Phu Tho province have always been united, becoming a guiding principle and driving force for Phu Tho to rise and achieve many accomplishments in economic and social development.

From a poor, predominantly agricultural province with underdeveloped urban infrastructure, slow industrial, commercial, and service development, and a large agricultural economy, Phu Tho's economy has now consistently maintained a relatively high growth rate compared to the national average and other provinces in the northern midland and mountainous regions.

During the 2020-2025 term, Phu Tho province is determined to successfully implement the breakthrough "significantly improve the investment and business environment," creating increasingly favorable conditions to attract investment resources.

The Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI), the Public Administration Reform Index (PAR Index), and the Satisfaction Index on Administrative Services (SIPAS) in 2023 were all in the top 10 nationwide.

In addition, there is a synchronized inter-regional transportation network connecting expressways and national highways, such as: Vinh Phu Bridge – connecting Vinh Phuc province; inter-regional roads connecting the Ho Chi Minh Highway with National Highway 70B, National Highway 32C from Phu Tho province to Yen Bai province; Tuyen Quang-Phu Tho expressway, etc.

Infrastructure in industrial zones and clusters is being increasingly improved. In addition, the province has completed the construction and expansion of 7 industrial zones and 21 out of 28 industrial clusters.

In 2023, Vietnam attracted 102 new projects and additional capital, including 19 FDI projects, with registered capital exceeding $218 million.

Phu Tho has a comprehensive and modern transportation system, facilitating trade connections with Hanoi and other localities throughout the country.

The GRDP growth rate reached 7.58% (placing it among the top 15 localities with relatively high growth rates nationwide); the economic scale increased more than 1.3 times compared to 2020, exceeding 100 trillion VND, ranking 34th out of 63 provinces and cities and 3rd out of 14 provinces in the northern midland and mountainous region.

The Phu Tho Provincial Planning for the period 2025-2030, with a vision to 2050, has also been approved by the Prime Minister, reflecting the aspirations of the Party Committee, government, military, and people of all ethnic groups in Phu Tho province in realizing development goals.

To date, Phu Tho province has 6 new rural districts, 136 new rural communes, and more than 1,600 residential areas meeting new rural standards…

Education and training continue to maintain and improve the quality of education at all levels. For four consecutive years, the average score in the high school graduation exam ranked 8th nationwide, and the results in the student excellence competition consistently ranked among the top in the country.

Healthcare is also a highlight of Phu Tho, with a well-established and widely developed healthcare system; 100% of health stations have doctors working there, 100% of medical examination and treatment facilities meet quality standards of level 3 or higher; and the satisfaction rate of the people consistently exceeds 98%…

The ideological and spiritual values ​​derived from President Ho Chi Minh's teachings have guided generations of cadres, Party members, and people of all ethnic groups in Phu Tho province in their self-cultivation, training, and striving.

Steadfastly following the Party and Uncle Ho, the descendants of Lac Hong today are still upholding the spirit of unity, dynamism, creativity, and striving to develop their homeland, worthy of being the ancestral land, the place where the Hung Kings chose as the first capital of the Vietnamese people; and also the place where President Ho Chi Minh entrusted the present and future generations of Vietnamese people with the task of preserving the beautiful land that their ancestors built.

With a desire for prosperity, transforming difficulties into opportunities, and leveraging existing advantages, Phu Tho is taking steady steps towards achieving its goal of becoming a leading developed province in the northern midland and mountainous region; realizing President Ho Chi Minh's aspiration to make Phu Tho an advanced province not only in the North but also in the whole country.
