On the morning of November 19, the Southern Hydrometeorological Station reported that in the past 24 hours, the tide situation in Ho Chi Minh City was as follows: the highest peak tide level of the day at most stations on the Saigon River rose slowly and at a high level.
At 7:00 a.m. on November 19, the highest tide peak of the day measured at some stations was as follows: Nha Be station was close to alert level 2, Phu An station exceeded alert level 2, Thu Dau Mot station exceeded alert level 3.

The Southern Hydrometeorological Station warns that in the next 5 days, the highest water level at most stations on the Saigon River will rise following the high tide in early October of the lunar calendar.
The peak tide of this period is likely to appear on November 19 - 21 (September 30 - October 2 of the lunar calendar) and at the following levels:
- At Phu An and Nha Be stations, the water level may rise to 1.65 - 1.70 m (about 0.05 - 0.10 m above alarm level 3);
- Thu Dau Mot station rose to 1.75 - 1.85 m (0.15 - 0.25 m higher than alarm level 3).
People need to be on guard against heavy rain combined with high tides causing flooding in low-lying areas and riverside areas, affecting traffic and socio -economic activities in the Ho Chi Minh City area.
The Hydrometeorological Agency noted that after reaching alert level 2 today, high tides in Ho Chi Minh City will continue to rise gradually in the following days. People need to proactively take measures to prevent flooding caused by high tides.
Southern region is about to get cold below 20 degrees Celsius

In the next 7 days, the continental cold high pressure will continue to strengthen in the Central region, then from around the night of November 20, it will affect the weather in the South. The equatorial trough will move south, and the disturbance of the east wind in the South will gradually weaken.
Weather forecast for Ho Chi Minh City and the South for the next 7 days: variable clouds, showers and thunderstorms in some places. From the night of November 20 to 23, the minimum temperature tends to decrease, generally ranging from 22 to 24 degrees Celsius, cold weather, in the North and Southeast, some places below 20 degrees Celsius, cold weather, from November 24, it will gradually increase again. The evening temperature is generally from 29 to 33 degrees Celsius.
