At the age of 23, Lieutenant Ta Quang Cong graduated from the Security Reconnaissance major, specializing in Internal Security Reconnaissance at the People's Security Academy with an average score of 3.43/4 (8.94/10). With his excellent achievements, Cong surpassed 600 students to become the valedictorian of the People's Security Academy and was retained as a lecturer at the Department of Internal Political Security .

In 2020, Quang Cong was admitted to the People's Security Academy under the D01 group. The new student entered the lecture hall with excitement, mixed with a bit of anxiety in the strict disciplinary environment.
During the first two weeks of school, Cong was able to participate in a special training course that lasted 5 months. The boy from Hai Duong (formerly) said that this was the "harshest" time. Every day at 5am, all students had to gather to run about 3km, do push-ups, sit-ups, and then practice martial arts. Although he had previously practiced gym, at first Cong could not stand the pressure because his endurance was not good.
Physical training is tough, but professional training is even more challenging. In particular, command work - the "backbone" of a police officer - requires every movement to be absolutely precise.
"It was raining, the training ground was slippery, and the whole team was still rolling around in the mud. The intensity of the training was far beyond what was initially imagined, but no one was allowed to stop. The other students and I joked that if an ant bites us, we cannot scratch it, and if a girl passes by, we cannot look. As soon as we heard the shout 'Attention!', everyone immediately obeyed the command ," Cong recalled.

During the training, shooting was a "difficult" subject for the young lieutenant. From the first test shot, the student's bullet missed the target. He realized that shooting technique is not just a mechanical operation, but requires concentration and detail, because even the slightest vibration can cause the bullet to deviate.
Thanks to the instructor's dedicated guidance and serious practice, Cong gradually mastered the technique, controlled his breathing well, and was no longer pressured by the deafening sound of gunfire.
Marching through the night is the most challenging part of each training course. Cong and other students carry sand backpacks and walk dozens of kilometers. Each step is a time to overcome fatigue, drowsiness and body aches. With a strict training regimen, the male student lost 12kg, from 82kg to 68kg.
“After the training course, although I lost weight, I felt healthier, more flexible and less sickly than before. The most valuable thing is that I learned discipline, team spirit and how to overcome my own limits ,” Cong shared.
After completing 5 months of training, the 18-year-old student returned to the classroom to study general and specialized subjects. With the goal of staying at the People's Security Academy as a lecturer, Cong immediately made a specific study plan and roadmap, gradually realizing his dream.
The conditions to become a lecturer at the People's Security Academy are not simple. The school requires many criteria, including: Candidates must have political, legal and security professional qualifications, graduate with honors; and possess foreign language skills and other awards.
To get closer to his dream of standing on the podium, Cong tries to maintain his academic performance at the highest level. Before starting a new subject, he proactively goes to the library to find documents, reads the main content in advance, then takes careful notes for further research. In class, Cong focuses on listening to lectures, comparing with the prepared parts to understand and grasp the knowledge.

Maintained good results throughout 5 years of study: 3 years as Excellent Student, 2 years as Good Student.
In addition to his good academic achievements, Cong also actively participates in union activities and scientific research. Thanks to his efforts, he received a certificate of merit from the Minister of Public Security , a certificate of merit from the Director of the People's Security Academy, and many awards in the learning and training movement. Cong's research focuses on professional skills and training methods, serving the teaching work at the Academy.
Having graduated with honors from the People's Security Academy in April 2025, Ta Quang Cong was retained by the school as a lecturer, working in the Department of Internal Political Security. Currently, the 23-year-old lieutenant is in a probationary period to develop his own career path.
Realizing that knowledge is a never-ending journey, Cong aims to study further, combining theoretical research and practical experience to clearly understand the specifics of the field of study he is pursuing.
“For me, staying at the school to teach is not only an honor, but also a great responsibility. I hope to be able to pass on to the students the energy, learning spirit and will that I received from my teachers ,” said Lieutenant 10X.
