Heartwarming meals
On the morning of November 23, in the chilly weather that remained after the days of flood and rain, the relief team of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated to organize a field kitchen at Nha Trang University. Each person had a job, the relief team and volunteers in the province rhythmically carried out the steps from processing ingredients, cooking rice, cooking food, to completing hot meals to deliver to flood victims. Venerable Thich Thanh Phong - Vice President of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Sangha. Ho Chi Minh City (the unit in charge of coordinating with the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union to organize a field kitchen) said: "Hearing the news of the historic flood raging in some Central provinces, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has directed monks, nuns, and Buddhists at home and abroad to support people in flood-affected areas. At the same time, upon receiving instructions from the Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, we immediately set out to provide relief and share the damage and loss that the people of Khanh Hoa are suffering. Thanks to careful preparation, today, the meals have reached the people. We are very happy." Tran Thi Huynh Nhu, a student at Nha Trang University, shared: "When I learned that the school coordinated to organize a field kitchen to cook rice to serve people in flood-affected areas, I immediately registered to participate. Although I was tired, I was very happy to be able to contribute a small part to help people in flood-affected areas."
In addition to the field kitchen at Nha Trang University, the units also organized another field kitchen in Dien Dien commune. The kitchens will be maintained until people's lives stabilize again.
On the same day, the relief convoy of Ho Chi Minh City also carried 100 tons of goods and necessities, including: rice, instant noodles, bottled water, blankets, mosquito nets... and 7,000 life jackets gathered at the Provincial Military Command to prepare to give to the people. The atmosphere of receiving relief goods and necessities was also very bustling and urgent.

Affection from the city named after Uncle Ho
Implementing the direction of the Politburo in Notice No. 99/2025 on overcoming the consequences of floods in the Central region; assigning direct tasks to Ho Chi Minh City to support people affected by natural disasters in Khanh Hoa province. With the spirit of "the fastest, highest, most timely, focused, key support, suitable to actual needs", Ho Chi Minh City has established a relief working group led by Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Phuoc Loc, immediately to Khanh Hoa to provide support, ensuring that people receive timely support. In the immediate future, the relief team will coordinate to provide free meals, give gifts; examine, treat, and distribute free medicine to people in damaged communes and wards; reinforce schools; repair telecommunication stations to ensure communication...
Speaking at a meeting with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province on the work of receiving and coordinating support resources to overcome damage caused by floods from Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of November 22, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc said: "As soon as receiving the direction of the Politburo, Ho Chi Minh City organized a meeting to assign specific tasks, mobilize maximum forces and resources to provide timely support, contributing to helping the government and people of Khanh Hoa overcome the consequences of natural disasters, stabilize their lives soon, and at the same time spread the strength of the community, demonstrating the responsibility and affection of the people of the city named after Uncle Ho towards the people of the Central region in general and the people of Khanh Hoa in particular."

Up to this point, the field kitchens have provided about 15,000 meals/day; mobilized doctors, nurses, and specialized vehicles to examine, provide emergency care, and distribute free medicine to people, with priority given to the elderly, children, and households that suffered heavy losses to prevent the risk of disease after the flood.
At the same time, the city's technical teams are also ready to coordinate with localities to reinforce essential items in schools; repair broadcasting stations, ensure smooth communication to serve the direction and support of people. In addition to supporting goods, necessities, arranging forces to repair and reinforce technical infrastructure damaged by floods..., Ho Chi Minh City also supports Khanh Hoa with 50 billion VND, contributing to helping the province have more resources to overcome damage caused by natural disasters.
