
At the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Da, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City, said that as of September 2025, the whole country has more than 17,236 OCOP products with 3 stars or more (belonging to 9,345 OCOP entities). Ho Chi Minh City alone has 1,026 products with 3-4 stars.
In the coming time, Ho Chi Minh City will focus on the quality and sustainability of OCOP products with many specific orientations; striving to have more than 2,000 OCOP products achieving 3 stars or more in the 2025-2030 period. And striving to have 5-10 OCOP products achieving 5-star standards by 2030.
Focusing on the city's typical strengths of processed food, beverages, and handicrafts; encouraging the application of technology, using clean, environmentally friendly materials; supporting subjects to upgrade products, focusing on standardizing production processes, and improving quality standards...
At the press conference, central and local reporters asked many questions related to issues such as: mechanisms and policies to support entities to improve OCOP products, expand markets; standardize OCOP products; OCOP product groups of the city; strategies to bring OCOP products closer to consumers; how to bring OCOP products to foreign markets...

In addition to answering questions from reporters, the Department of Agriculture and Environment provided information about the event "Promoting and connecting trade of OCOP products in 2025" scheduled to be held for 3 days, from November 28 to 30 at the Vung Tau Revolutionary Traditional House (No. 1 Ba Cu, Vung Tau Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) with a scale of about 100 booths and areas displaying OCOP products, typical products, and characteristics of urban areas and provinces and cities.
In addition, the event also has response activities such as culinary introduction, culinary demonstration, cultural and artistic performances, exchanges; seminar on the topic "Solutions to develop OCOP value chain, connecting consumption and building OCOP product brands in Ho Chi Minh City".
