Artifacts at the special national relic Tho Tang communal house, Tho Tang commune are carefully preserved and kept.
The work of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage in the province is coordinated by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DTC) with other departments and localities to implement synchronously according to the Law on Cultural Heritage and legal documents. Cultural heritages in the province are identified, inventoried, announced, serving as a basis for the development and implementation of investment plans for conservation and promotion of values. Along with that, the work of planning relics has received attention, many special national relic planning in the province have been implemented such as: Hung Temple, Trai village cave and Vanh village stone roof, Tho Tang communal house, Binh Son tower, Tay Thien - Tam Dao. The work of preparing scientific dossiers to propose the ranking of relics at all levels and scientific dossiers to propose inclusion in the list of national intangible cultural heritages is carried out regularly. In the period of 2021 - 2025, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has advised the Provincial People's Committee to announce 571 intangible cultural heritages; Building scientific dossiers, proposing the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to include 3 heritages in the national list of intangible cultural heritages; currently completing 15 scientific dossiers of intangible cultural heritages to submit to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to include them in the national list of intangible cultural heritages.
By October 2025, Phu Tho province has 2,778 relics; of which 979 are ranked (6 special national relics, 176 national relics, 797 provincial relics), 6 national treasures, and thousands of relics and antiquities are kept at the Hung Vuong Museum, private museums and historical and cultural relics of the province. Regarding intangible cultural heritage, the province has nearly 2,000 heritages, of which 5 are listed by UNESCO: 2 heritages listed as subjects (Hung Vuong worship, Xoan singing); 3 heritages with Phu Tho as a spreading area in multinational dossiers (Tug of War Rituals and Games, Ca Tru Singing of the Vietnamese, Practicing the Three Palaces belief of the Vietnamese); 41 national intangible cultural heritages.
In order to preserve and promote the value of cultural heritage associated with sustainable development, the province has paid attention to promulgating and effectively implementing many mechanisms, policies, resolutions, projects and plans such as: Resolution on the mechanism to support investment in restoring ranked relics, supporting relic caretakers, supporting artisans awarded titles by the President in the field of intangible cultural heritage; Plan to support against relic degradation; Project to preserve and promote the value of Xoan singing; Project to preserve and promote the cultural values of the Muong ethnic group and " Hoa Binh Culture"... In the period of 2021 - 2025, the whole province has nearly 250 relics restored, embellished, and prevented from degradation; more than 40 intangible cultural heritages are preserved and restored.

Tay Thien relic and scenic area (Dai Dinh commune) attracts a large number of people and tourists to visit and worship.
With the motto "The State and the People work together", localities have stepped up propaganda, advocacy, and mobilization of social resources for the restoration and embellishment of historical and cultural relics. The total investment resources for restoration, embellishment, and prevention of degradation of relics in the province from 2021 to present are 1,100 billion VND, of which the state budget is 756 billion VND and socialized resources are 344 billion VND. At the same time, management and conservation work is increasingly associated with promoting heritage values in educating patriotic traditions, fostering national pride, and at the same time connecting with sustainable tourism development. Many relic sites, traditional rituals, festivals, and intangible cultural heritage values have been invested in, renovated, and restored, becoming complete cultural and tourism products, attracting tourists, promoting tourism development, and developing local socio-economy: Hung Temple National Special Historical Relic Site, Tay Thien Scenic Relic Site, Au Co Temple, Tien Pagoda Relic Site Complex, Hung Lo Communal House, Lai Len Temple...
Besides the achieved results, the work of preserving and promoting the value of Phu Tho cultural heritage still has limitations such as: Some types of relics such as prehistoric archaeological sites and revolutionary historical relics have not received attention for restoration, embellishment and promotion of value; many types of intangible cultural heritage are at risk of fading away; funding for restoration and embellishment of relics is still limited and does not meet practical requirements; policies and regimes for those directly responsible for protecting and looking after relics, and remuneration for artisans are still low.
In the context of deep integration, the work of preserving and promoting the value of cultural heritage is increasingly strategic, not only contributing to preserving traditions and building an advanced culture imbued with national identity but also being an important driving force for the province to develop its socio-economy. In the coming time, Phu Tho will continue to promote the restoration and embellishment of historical and cultural relics; plan the special national relic of Hang Xom Trai and Lang Vanh stone roof, plan the special national relic of Tay Thien - Tam Dao; review and study appropriate management models for special national heritages and national heritages. Regarding the values of intangible cultural heritage, the province will continue to implement and complete the contents and tasks in the Project to protect and promote cultural heritages recognized by UNESCO as representative intangible cultural heritages of humanity, tangible cultural heritages listed in the national intangible cultural heritage list; Research and build a dossier to submit to UNESCO for recognition of the Tay Thien Mother Goddess and Mo Muong worship as representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity; preserve and promote the unique intangible cultural heritage values of ethnic minorities, craft villages, and typical traditional festivals...
