The most notable success in the recent period is the strong transformation of local agricultural products, organized in production according to value chains and associated with strict brand standards. The emergence and expansion of linkage models have proven effective in enhancing the value and competitiveness of agricultural products.
The project of planting, producing and processing purple tea buds in Thanh Ba district (old) is a typical example. Under the leadership of UT Tea Investment and Development Company Limited, the project has closely linked with 1 cooperative and 11 participating households.

Purple bud tea products not only conquer the domestic market but are also exported, becoming the pride of the province's agriculture. In particular, the Provincial People's Committee has recognized 2 OCOP purple bud tea products with 4 stars and is in the process of completing the dossier to request the Central Council to evaluate and classify OCOP 5 stars. Economic efficiency is clearly shown through the stable average income of workers, reaching 7-8 million VND/person/month.
Also following the close linkage model, the Project of linking production and consumption of Doan Hung grapefruit products in Doan Hung district (old) chaired by Doan Hung CNC Cooperative has developed a production scale of up to 100 hectares, attracting the participation of 3 cooperatives and 136 households. With the value of linked goods reaching 30,000 million VND/year, Doan Hung grapefruit has become a key crop, bringing stable income to workers, also reaching 7-8 million VND/person/month and is recognized as a 4-star OCOP product.

The general trend of successful models is to thoroughly apply advanced technical standards, thereby creating a difference in quality and added value in the market.
The model of developing production linked to the value chain linking production with the consumption of safe vegetable products in Lien Chau commune, Yen Lac district (formerly Vinh Phuc province) has demonstrated the importance of comprehensive quality control. OFP Clean Agricultural Products Production and Distribution Company Limited has successfully developed organic farming techniques, achieving VietGAP certification for 40 types of vegetables, tubers and fruits. Notably, the company has also invested in a modern processing facility and been granted ISO 22000:2018 Certificate for the processing scope, ensuring food safety at the highest level. The product value is increased, the products after processing and packaging are labeled, coded, and barcoded to trace their origin, helping consumers feel secure, thereby creating a selling price 15 - 20% higher than the same type of freely produced products. The products are consumed in high-segment markets such as supermarkets, restaurants, and hotels, bringing an average profit of nearly 140 million VND/ha/production cycle, bringing double benefits to both enterprises, production cooperatives, and consumption units.
The model of raising commercial chickens according to VietGAHP process combined with product consumption linkage has created a revolution in household-scale farming. With a scale of 150,000 chickens and the participation of 128 households, the model has proven to be more effective than mass farming. Technical indicators are all higher: survival rate reached 95.4% (compared to 93%); chicken weight reached 2,350g (compared to 2,100g); cumulative feed consumption index (FCR) decreased to 2.9 (compared to 3.1). Applying VietGAHP has helped increase economic efficiency by up to 20.61% compared to not applying, while creating jobs, improving knowledge and changing traditional farming habits to safe farming, applying technical advances.
Successful models not only stop at increasing output, but also solve the problem of nutritional security and sustainable development of aquatic resources, expanding economic space for mountainous areas and reservoirs.
In the old Vinh Phuc province, the dairy farming model has developed strongly with a total herd of nearly 18 thousand cows. The key point is the formation of fresh cow milk consumption chains between cooperatives, large milk purchasing and processing enterprises such as FRIESLANDCAMPINA Ha Nam Co., Ltd., Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk), Ba Vi Dairy Joint Stock Company... and farmers.
The model of raising catfish in cages at the Son La - Hoa Binh hydroelectric reservoir according to VietGAP standards is a testament to the effective and sustainable exploitation of large water surface potential. With a scale of 500m 3 of cages and the participation of 4 households, the model has achieved impressive results: the survival rate of fish reached 91.5%, the average weight was over 1.2 kg/fish, the productivity was over 22 kg/m 3 and all households achieved VietGAP certification.
After 5 years of implementation, the above models and projects have proven their sustainability, effectiveness and replicability, clearly demonstrating the orientation of modern agricultural development. Authorities at all levels have promptly issued a system of plans, projects and appropriate policies, integrating food security goals into the socio-economic development plan, the National Target Program on New Rural Development and the agricultural restructuring project. Since then, comprehensive results have been achieved: Stable food production, ensuring self-sufficiency in the province and supplying a part to the market outside the province. Forming concentrated production areas, following the direction of goods, linking value chains. Science and technology are actively transferred and applied from production, processing to consumption. The value of the agricultural sector grows by an average of 3.6%/year.
Advanced models of value chains and organic agriculture are widely replicated, not only contributing to economic growth but also ensuring food security and improving people's material and spiritual life, aiming at the goal of building a modern, clean, sustainable agriculture, meeting the requirements of the market economy and international integration.
