President of the Senate of the Czech Republic visits Thanh Cong Group and Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory

On November 22, 2025, during his official visit to Vietnam, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Mr. Miloš Vystrčil and his delegation visited and worked with Thanh Cong Group (TC Group) at the Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile factory, part of the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automotive and Supporting Industry Complex, Viet Hung Industrial Park, Quang Ninh province. Also attending were members of the Senate of the Czech Republic, representatives of the Office of the President of the Senate, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam, senior consultants and many large enterprises from the Czech Republic.

President of the Senate of the Czech Republic and working delegation visited Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory.

During the visit, President of the Senate of the Czech Republic, Mr. Miloš Vystrčil, and his delegation directly visited Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory and listened to a detailed report on the strategic cooperation project between Thanh Cong Group and Skoda Auto.

Mr. Miloš Vystrčil expressed his excitement and appreciation for the strategic cooperation between the two leading automobile corporations of Vietnam and the Czech Republic, considering this a typical example of the economic connection between the two countries. The project has always received much attention from the governments of the two countries, as Prime Minister Petr Fiala and the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic also visited in 2023 and 2025. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has received leaders of the two corporations many times and expressed his interest and support for the development of this cooperation.

Mr. Miloš Vystrčil spoke at the meeting, noting the strategic cooperation between TC Group and Skoda Auto.

Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile Factory plays a key role in the automobile industry, receiving attention from both the Vietnamese and Czech governments . This is the central project at the Thanh Cong Viet Hung Automobile and Supporting Industry Complex, invested by Thanh Cong Group on a large scale, with a designed capacity of 120,000 vehicles/year. This is also the first Skoda automobile factory in Southeast Asia, with production technology and strict quality control processes according to Volkswagen standards. Since its inauguration and operation in March 2025, the factory has launched 2 Skoda models: Skoda Kushaq and Skoda Slavia. The car models manufactured and assembled at Thanh Cong Viet Hung automobile factory all meet the strict standards of quality and reliability that Skoda Auto has applied globally, creating an important step for Thanh Cong Group and Skoda Auto to expand the European car market in Vietnam and spread the Skoda brand in the ASEAN region.

In the coming time, the two sides will continue to invest in domestic production, technology transfer, product diversification, promote the increase of localization rate, contributing to providing the market with quality, safe, durable cars at reasonable prices, serving the needs of domestic and regional customers.

The President of the Senate of the Czech Republic affirmed that he will continue to support the cooperation activities of TC Group and Skoda Auto in the future, on the path to enhancing comprehensive cooperation in many fields between the two countries. These efforts will further enliven the 75-year relationship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.
