Accordingly, from now until December 31, 2025, supporting goods will be exempted from all transportation fees, fuel surcharges and related fees, and will be given priority loading on flights of Vietnam Airlines Group (including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and VASCO) from airports across the country to Phu Cat, Tuy Hoa, Cam Ranh, Lien Khuong, Buon Ma Thuot and Pleiku airports.
Vietnam Airlines Group (including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines and VASCO) continues to implement the program of free transportation of relief goods to areas severely damaged by floods in the Central region.
A representative of Vietnam Airlines Group said that the operation will continue to apply to flights to Phu Bai, Da Nang and Chu Lai as in the first phase. The program duration can be extended depending on actual demand and the amount of supporting goods.
The program applies to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels, People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, the Vietnam Red Cross at all levels, socio-political organizations, State agencies, social organizations, charity funds (licensed by State agencies) and enterprises whose purpose of support or introduction is confirmed by competent authorities. In the previous free transport of relief goods, as of November 20, more than 29 tons of necessities, medicine, clothes and essential items had been delivered by Vietnam Airlines to people in flood-affected areas.
Since October 30, Vietnam Airlines Group has launched a program to transport relief goods free of charge to Phu Bai, Da Nang and Chu Lai airports. To date, 2,081 packages with a total weight of over 30 tons, including necessities, medicine, clothes and essential items, have been promptly transported to people in the flood-hit areas of the Central region.
With practical and timely activities, Vietnam Airlines continues to demonstrate the spirit of humanity and social responsibility of the national airline, always accompanying the community, joining hands to share difficulties so that people in flood-affected areas can soon stabilize their lives.
