In Dong Hoa ward (HCMC), the atmosphere of preparing relief goods became warmer when Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang, a woman who earns a living by selling lottery tickets, donated a box of instant noodles bought with the money she saved that day. “I still have enough food and warm clothes. Out there, my compatriots are suffering from hunger and cold… I feel so sorry for them, I send them a little bit of my sincerity,” Ms. Trang shared before hurriedly leaving to continue making a living.

Not only Ms. Trang, Ms. Le Thi Mai and Mr. Pham Thanh Tung – disabled lottery ticket sellers – also brought several boxes of instant noodles, cakes and drinks to the relief goods receiving point. Despite the difficulty of traveling and economic instability, they still spent all of their profits from the day to share with people in the flood-affected areas.

"I was also born in the Central region, and came here to make a living. Life is hard, travel is difficult, but I am still happy in a warm rented room, eating 3 meals a day. In times of trouble, people help each other and share with each other. With little, but with much, I hope people in the flood area will soon stabilize their lives," said Mr. Tung, a lottery ticket seller in Dong Hoa ward, emotionally.
At the receiving points organized by the Press Club and AE, hundreds of boxes of instant noodles, candies, rice, sugar, milk, etc. were delivered by people and benefactors. In addition to the people's contributions, journalists also directly participated in contributing labor, money, and supporting the sorting and transportation of goods.

In Thu Dau Mot ward, the Sen Vang charity group organized 3 points to receive goods, including 2 points at private homes and 1 point at Ngoc Yen Bus Station inside Binh Duong Bus Station (30-4 Street).
Ms. Tran Thi Kim Thoa, the bus owner, said that she and her friends have organized relief efforts many times in provinces such as Nghe An, Binh Dinh (formerly), Dak Lak and is currently continuing to collect goods for the upcoming trip.

Sharing the same concern for her homeland, in recent days, Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Quyen (37 years old, living in Thoi Hoa ward) has been constantly following the flood situation in Hoa Thinh commune, Dak Lak province - where she was born and raised. After the flash flood, her hometown was devastated, many households were left homeless.
On the night of November 21, a truck carrying 5 tons of relief goods left for Dak Lak, in which Ms. Quyen's family alone contributed about 100 million VND along with many essential necessities to send to people in flood-affected areas.

At the reception point of the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross (30-4 Street, Phu Loi Ward) , staff and volunteers urgently classified and arranged goods to prepare for shipping to support the Central provinces. It is expected that on November 22, about 10 tons of goods will be transported to the flooded areas.
