Coming back to the people, they not only rescue victims, but also "revive" faith after days of being left empty-handed by the floods.
The recent historic flood submerged Duc Binh commune in water for 3 days and nights. In some low-lying areas, the water rose up to tens of meters, the lightest place was flooded over 3 meters. When the water receded, all that remained was a thick layer of mud and devastation.
Many families are in a situation of "5 no's": no place to live, no property, no rice, no electricity, no clean water...

The moment they saw the officers and soldiers of Regiment 66 (Division 10, Army Corps 3) entering the village, many villagers could not hold back their tears. Ms. Huynh Thi Hoa choked up and said in tears: “Everything is gone, guys, the water rose so fast, there was no time to clean up…”
With the motto "where the flood recedes, we will overcome it", during the days staying in the village, soldiers of Regiment 66 braved the cold rain to help the people and schools in the area clean up the village roads, alleys, clear sewers, dredge mud...

In particular, the military-civilian relationship is even stronger in the most tragic circumstances. Not only focusing on supporting dozens of single-parent families and the elderly, the soldiers also quietly joined hands to take care of the funeral of a family whose relative unfortunately passed away due to the flood, and promptly took a critically ill citizen to the emergency room amidst the myriad of difficulties caused by traffic disruption.
Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Chi Cong, Deputy Chief of Staff of Division 10, shared: “People are suffering too many losses. The order now is to act most urgently and responsibly to help people stabilize their lives soon.”
While the spearhead forces were straining to “fight” in the midst of the sea of water and mud, in the rear, another front was taking place equally vigorously and urgently. Without anyone telling anyone, everyone considered the relief of their compatriots an order from their hearts.

At the Provincial Military Command, the lights were on all night. The officers and members of the Women's Union put aside their personal matters and spent every minute sorting and packing necessities. Each set of clothes and each package of noodles were carefully arranged, conveying the warmth of the home front, hoping to dispel the cold of the flooded area.
The urgent atmosphere spread to all the communes and wards in the West of the province. Right in the remote commune of Ea Sup, the Commune Military Command together with the people lit a fire and joined hands to wrap 1,000 green Chung cakes, creating a beautiful symbol of solidarity between the army and the people.
Similarly, at Infantry Company 2 (Defense Command of Area 3 - Ea Sup), the unit has collected from the smallest things: 14 large boxes of noodles, 500 kg of vegetables and fruits, blister packs of Panadol, Berberine and mobilized the sister unit to donate 100 boxes of purified water. Senior Lieutenant To Huu Sy, Political Commissar of the Company said: "With all our heart, we mobilize everyone to help with whatever they have, as long as it reaches the people in this difficult time."

According to statistics from the Military Region General Staff, on November 22 alone, the Army mobilized all its forces to contribute to ensuring people's lives: 15 tons of dry food were urgently released from the warehouse; 20,000 social security gift bags; 50 tons of rice, 10,000 cartons of instant noodles and thousands of liters of fish sauce and cooking oil were brought to the flooded areas.
All goods and materials were delivered to the people at the most difficult time. The close coordination between units, the cooperation of philanthropists and the sense of responsibility of soldiers created a combined strength, ensuring that people were not left behind in times of trouble.
