Currently, the inspection lines at many motor vehicle inspection centers in Hai Phong operate stably and smoothly; people bringing their vehicles for inspection no longer have to wait long.

Many units have excess capacity.

One day in mid-November 2025, at the Motor Vehicle Inspection Center 3401D on Tan Dan Street, Viet Hoa Ward ( Hai Phong City), 5 cars entered the inspection line at the same time. In each area, each inspector performed each step, checking the brakes, analyzing exhaust gas, checking lights...

The inspection lines are operating smoothly, so people who bring their cars for inspection are very excited. Mr. Nguyen Gia Huy in Ke Sat commune said that his car is still nearly 10 days away from its deadline, but he still took the time to bring it for inspection. Here, the procedures are handled very quickly, without having to wait long.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hieu, Director of the 3401D Motor Vehicle Inspection Center, informed that the unit receives about 120 vehicles per day, an increase of about 10 - 15% compared to the third quarter. The center is operating 4 production lines, which can serve nearly 400 vehicles per day, so with the current number of vehicles, it only reaches nearly 40% of its capacity.

Most of the vehicle inspection centers in Hai Phong city are quite spacious, vehicles can come for inspection conveniently, without having to wait long.

Currently, the lines of the 3401D Motor Vehicle Inspection Center operate from 6:30 am, serving those who need to have their vehicles inspected early, such as small traders and truck drivers. With the spirit of serving all vehicles without running out of time, there are days when the center operates until 7 pm.

At the 1501V Motor Vehicle Inspection Center in Hong Bang Ward, the number of vehicles coming for inspection is quite sparse. Director of the center Tran Thai Phong said that the average number of vehicles coming for inspection is only 30-50 vehicles/day. With 4 existing lines, the center only needs to operate 2 lines.

On average, the 1509D Motor Vehicle Inspection Center in Hong An Ward receives 30-40 vehicles for inspection every day, an increase of 10-20% compared to the previous month but still less than the same period in previous years. With 7 inspectors and 2 inspection lines, the center can handle a maximum of about 150 vehicles per day. If the demand for vehicle inspection increases in the months before Tet, the center is ready to serve.

Hai Phong City currently has 15 active vehicle inspection centers, of which the western region has 7 centers and the eastern region has 8 active inspection centers. Near the end of the year, the number of vehicles coming for inspection at Hai Phong centers has not increased much, so there is no congestion or overload.

Proactively promote and advise vehicle owners

With the current capacity, the inspection centers can meet the increased number of vehicles at the end of 2025 and before the Lunar New Year 2026. The units always create favorable conditions for people to bring their vehicles for inspection, but also proactively remove vehicles that do not meet operating conditions.

According to statistics from the 1509D Motor Vehicle Inspection Center, some errors that cause vehicles to fail inspection include errors in the brake system, lighting system, etc. Inspectors recommend that vehicle owners should perform periodic maintenance, especially the brake system, a part that wears out quickly due to high frequency of use. The lighting and electrical systems also need to be checked to avoid unexpected damage.

Mr. Tran Duc Trung, Director of the 1509D Motor Vehicle Inspection Center, said that the unit always proactively reminds vehicle owners of upcoming inspection deadlines to raise awareness in complying with regulations on vehicle operating conditions and minimize overdue situations; at the same time, remind vehicle owners to proactively maintain their vehicles before coming for inspection.

When the vehicle is well maintained, the inspection process is quick, reducing pressure on both the vehicle owner and the inspector.

According to feedback from a number of inspection centers in Hai Phong, recently the units have continuously received information from people about being scammed by subjects impersonating inspection center staff or officers of the Vietnam Register.

Common methods include calling and sending text messages to inform about changes in the inspection stamp model and requesting to change the stamp, and requesting money transfers or personal information via fake links. These actions cause confusion for vehicle owners and affect the reputation of the centers.

Some inspection centers confirmed that they did not call vehicle owners to notify them of the change in inspection stamps, and at the same time increased on-site propaganda, posted articles warning people to be vigilant, only receive information from official channels and be cautious with suspicious calls.

The Vietnam Register said all notices about changing vehicle registration stamps and requests for money transfers are scams. Vehicle owners should not provide personal information or bank accounts to anyone who is not an inspection center employee.
