Permanent Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee Le Anh Quan has just signed a decision approving the adjustment of the Investment Project for the construction of Ring Road 2, Tan Vu - Hung Dao - Bui Vien section.
Accordingly, the project will supplement and expand Nguyen Truong To and Bui Vien streets from the intersection of National Highway 10 to the intersection of Ring Road 2, with a total length of about 10.4 km. The land use area will increase by 70.2 hectares. Thus, the total land area for the project will be increased from 112.68 hectares to 176.7 hectares.

The additional route with a total length of 10.4 km will expand Nguyen Truong To Street and Bui Vien Street from the intersection of National Highway 10 to the intersection of Ring Road 2 - Bui Vien with a road surface of 6 to 8 lanes; build an overpass at the intersection of National Highway 10 with a length of about 135.2 m and a scale of 4 lanes.
The project includes adding an asphalt concrete layer to the existing Nguyen Truong To and Bui Vien streets along with other synchronous items on the route, from sidewalk systems, trees to lighting and rainwater drainage.
The total investment for the project supplement is 1,572.7 billion VND. Of which, the cost of site clearance is 195.2 billion VND; the cost of construction is 1,207.3 billion VND and other costs. After adjustment, the total investment of the whole project is 8,593 billion VND. The investment capital comes from the Hai Phong city budget.
The expansion of Nguyen Truong To and Bui Vien streets from the intersection of National Highway 10 to the intersection of Ring Road 2 aims to increase traffic capacity on the route; reduce conflicts and traffic safety risks; and increase the overall efficiency of the entire project. At the same time, it ensures synchronization and smoothness for traffic activities as well as completes the urban infrastructure system in An Phong, An Duong, Kien An, Hai An wards, etc.
