With 24 excellent jockeys selected from the qualifying round, divided into 8 races. Each race consists of 3 jockeys competing at a distance of 1,900m (equivalent to 5 laps of the field), the jockeys with the best results will advance to the round of 16 and the final with 4 jockeys competing to determine the first, second, third and fourth places, each race is at a distance of 1,900m.
In the final race, the audience witnessed an exciting and dramatic competition between 4 jockeys: Lam Van U, Giang Seo Vu, Vang Van Ngoc Bao and Vang Van Truong, all jockeys from Bac Ha Horse Club.
After 4 laps with a total distance of 1,900m, jockey Lam Van U (shirt number 61) excellently finished first with a time of 2 minutes 11 seconds 58, nearly 2 seconds faster than the second place Vang Van Truong (shirt number 100). Third place belonged to jockey Vang Van Ngoc Bao (shirt number 04) with a time of 2 minutes 13 seconds 28, while Giang Seo Vu (shirt number 56) ranked fourth.
At the end of the tournament, the organizing committee awarded first prize to jockey Lam Van U; second prize to jockey Vang Van Truong; third prize to jockey Vang Van Ngoc Bao and fourth prize to jockey Giang Seo Vu.
Previously, the opening ceremony of the weekly horse racing tournament and the launch of the Bac Ha Horse Club took place on the afternoon of November 15 at Bac Ha commune stadium, organized by the commune People's Committee.
The tournament's funding is mobilized from the Bac Ha Culture and Tourism Conservation and Development Fund and other socialized sources. All these resources are invested in the organization, promotion, awarding and long-term maintenance of the Bac Ha Horse Club.
According to the organizers, the last week of November will see rounds 24, 16 and the final with four jockeys competing to determine first, second, third and fourth places with each round being at a distance of 1,900 meters.
