Song Pha Pass landslide, traffic restricted

Lam Dong provincial authorities recommend that vehicles do not travel through Song Pha pass, connecting Khanh Hoa and Lam Dong provinces, due to a serious landslide that occurred on the evening of October 27.

Location of landslide

On the evening of October 27, the Traffic Police Department, Lam Dong Police, said that due to a heavy landslide on Song Pha Pass (also known as Ngoan Muc Pass) at around 6:00 p.m. this afternoon, traffic on this route was interrupted.

The landslide occurred in Lam Son commune, Khanh Hoa province. In addition to this location on the Song Pha pass, there were also a number of locations where forest trees fell onto the road, making traffic difficult. Currently, the landslide location on the pass, due to darkness, the functional forces have just approached the scene and are carrying out cleanup work.

As soon as the incident occurred, the Traffic Police force of Lam Dong Provincial Police mobilized 100% of its personnel to be on duty and regulate traffic.

The Traffic Police Department has sent two teams to the scene of the landslide and four teams to remotely control traffic. For now, to ensure safety, the Traffic Police Department has not allowed vehicles to go down the pass.
