In recent days, the Central and Central Highlands provinces have continuously suffered from prolonged heavy rains, causing water levels on rivers in Hue, Da Nang , Quang Tri, Quang Ngai, etc. to rise. Many areas are at risk of flash floods and landslides, causing traffic jams on many national highways.

As of 4 p.m. on October 27, many road sections have been repaired and reopened to traffic, but there are still some deeply flooded or large landslide areas that are being handled. At these locations, functional units have set up barriers, warnings and organized traffic flow from a distance to ensure safety and avoid congestion.

Currently, National Highway 1 through Hue City (Km808+00-Km810+00) is still flooded about half a meter deep, causing traffic jams; vehicles are guided to follow the route of Hai Van tunnel - Cam Lo - La Son expressway to reconnect to National Highway 1.

On the Ho Chi Minh Highway, La Son - Hoa Lien section, heavy rain caused flooding in two locations in Hue City, forcing traffic to be temporarily diverted to National Highway 1 and National Highway 14B.

Also on the Ho Chi Minh Highway, the Lo Xo Pass area has a landslide at Km1407+800, causing traffic congestion. It is expected to be cleared by tonight, but the risk of further landslides remains very high. Vehicles are advised to travel along National Highway 19 or National Highway 24 to ensure safety.

In Hue City, National Highway 49B was also flooded at 7 points, and traffic had to follow local routes.

Meanwhile, in Da Nang City, the Ca Da bridge pier on National Highway 24C was eroded (Km85+095). By 3:00 p.m. the same day, the management unit had temporarily repaired the situation, allowing motorbikes and rudimentary vehicles to circulate, and at the same time guiding vehicles with a load capacity of less than 10 tons to move along the route from Bac Tra My along National Highway 40B to Tam Ky, Da Nang and then to Quang Ngai and vice versa.

Mr. Phung Van Nam, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tra Giap Commune (Da Nang City) said that currently, Tra Giap Commune has many landslides. Road DH4 (passing through Tra Giap) has serious landslides with many landslides. The volume of rock and soil is too large, vehicles cannot pass. Currently, Village 1 and Village 3 of the commune are isolated.
