According to Road Management Area III (Vietnam Road Administration), the incident occurred at approximately 4:50 PM at Km1372+340 on the Ho Chi Minh Highway. A white, seven-seater car was traveling through the area when rocks and soil suddenly collapsed from the embankment, almost completely burying the vehicle.
Upon receiving the report, the Road Management Area III promptly directed the unit responsible for managing and maintaining the route to coordinate with the Traffic Police of Da Nang City Police to access the scene and organize rescue efforts.
After a period of effort, the authorities managed to pull the vehicle out of the landslide area and rescue the two people trapped inside. Both were safe, only frightened, but not injured.
The vehicle and the two victims have now been brought back to Kham Duc commune for further assistance.

According to Road Management Area III, in recent days, due to prolonged heavy rain, the Ho Chi Minh Highway section passing through Da Nang city has experienced many landslides, most notably at Km1409+100, Km1406+600, and Km1403+000 in the Lo Xo Pass area (the section connecting Da Nang city with Quang Ngai province).
Large amounts of soil and rocks have covered the road, completely blocking traffic for the past two days and causing hundreds of vehicles to be stuck in traffic jams.
Authorities are currently mobilizing personnel and equipment to urgently address the situation; however, due to prolonged heavy rain, reopening the road remains challenging.
