Upholding the traditions and essence of "Uncle Ho's soldiers," the Veterans Association of Ea Kiet commune always maintains unity, sets a good example, and effectively implements programs and activities; creating trust and providing reliable support for the Party, government, and people of the locality.

Currently, the Veterans Association of Ea Kiet commune has 25 branches with 606 members; including 13 village branches, 11 hamlet branches, and 1 commune office branch.

The executive committee of the association always maintains a spirit of unity and high determination in the association's activities. Association members consistently uphold and promote the traditions and essence of "Uncle Ho's soldiers"; they are proactive, creative, and actively participate in local socio -economic development programs and grassroots movements; and they set a good example in educating the younger generation about patriotic traditions.

Within the organization, many party members hold positions in the Party, government, and mass organizations, contributing to the increasingly high quality and effectiveness of the organization's activities.

Representatives of the Veterans Association of Ea Kiet commune visited wounded soldiers on the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27th.

In directing and implementing programs and activities, the Veterans Association of the commune always focuses on its branches, especially those in ethnic minority villages. The Association regularly participates in disseminating information and mobilizing people to implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; implementing grassroots democracy regulations; and actively participating in the "All People Unite to Build a Culturally Rich Life in Residential Areas" campaign.

In particular, the Veterans Association of the commune plays a core role in mobilizing the masses to actively participate in resolving and mediating conflicts arising in life, security, and order... In recent years, the Standing Committee of the association has participated in resolving one hotspot case, individually mobilizing eight households, and coordinating with departments and organizations to mediate six disputes and conflicts among the people. The association as a whole always proactively prevents and resolutely fights against erroneous viewpoints and tactics to protect the Party's guidelines and viewpoints.

On the other hand, the Veterans Association of Ea Kiet commune actively encourages veterans to help each other reduce poverty, excel in economic activities, and improve their lives; effectively participate in socio-economic development programs, contributing to the sustainable poverty reduction efforts of the locality.

For example, from the "Comradeship and Solidarity Fund," the Veterans Association of the commune has supported five poor and near-poor member households in developing livestock farming, resulting in three households escaping poverty. Members also help each other when they lack capital or face difficulties; they lend each other money, plants, and livestock for production, thus significantly contributing to poverty reduction efforts. The association has also successfully developed a farm model for producing and processing coffee according to GLOBAGAP standards, exporting to the UK.

Members of the Veterans Association in the commune participate in activities to support members in developing their economy.

To date, the association manages 10 savings and loan groups with 457 households, creating conditions for families to participate in borrowing capital and using it for the right purposes in developing production, livestock farming, solving difficulties, and reducing poverty. Annually, 100% of members register to ensure traffic safety; 20 out of 24 branches are responsible for self-managing road sections with a total length of 21 km; members have contributed to building 16 km of concrete roads, 19 km of gravel roads, and 3 km of crushed stone roads...
Mr. Bui Duc Hai, Chairman of the Veterans Association of Ea Kiet commune, said: In the coming time, the Veterans Association of the commune will continue to encourage veterans to uphold the nature and traditions of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in building and protecting the Party, the State, and the people; to raise their sense of responsibility, strive to become successful in business, and create conditions to help each other to eliminate poverty, replace temporary and dilapidated houses... Association members and officials will set a good example, strengthen support and guidance for people to develop the economy, stabilize their lives, and preserve the cultural identity of the ethnic group; worthy of being the core force and a reliable support for the Party, government, and people of the locality.
