Key transportation routes through the area are being cut off by landslides and flooding, causing traffic congestion at several points.
Updating traffic conditions on several routes as of the afternoon of October 27th, the Vietnam Road Administration reported that National Highway 1 is flooded between Km808 and Km810 (Hue City), with a depth of approximately 0.5m causing traffic congestion. A diversion plan is being implemented from a distance along the route from Hai Van Tunnel – National Highway 1 – Cam Lo – La Son Expressway – National Highway 1 and vice versa.
Meanwhile, the La Son - Hoa Lien section of the expressway is flooded, causing traffic congestion at two points (Km12+300 and Km14, within Hue City), and roadblocks are currently being set up.
Simultaneously, traffic on the Cam Lo - La Son route will be diverted in the North-South direction. Upon reaching the intersection at Km 101+200, vehicles should turn onto National Highway 1 to continue south. Vehicles traveling on National Highway 1 in the South-North direction should turn left onto National Highway 14B at Km 933+082, and then turn right onto National Highway 14B at Km 23+908/National Highway 14B to follow the Hai Van - Tuy Loan tunnel route north.

A large-scale landslide occurred on the Lo Xo pass along the Ho Chi Minh Highway.
The Ho Chi Minh Highway (Lo Xo Pass area) is blocked by a landslide on the embankment at Km 1407+800. Traffic is expected to resume by 11 PM tonight, October 27th. However, the current rainy weather in the area poses a high risk of further landslides and traffic congestion. Vehicles are advised to use National Highway 19 or National Highway 24 to connect National Highway 1 and the Ho Chi Minh Highway.
National Highway 49B (in Hue City) is flooded, causing traffic congestion at 7 points. Currently, barricades are being set up and vehicles are being diverted to local roads.
Meanwhile, on National Highway 24C ( Da Nang City), the Ca Da bridge abutment (Km 85+095) was eroded, causing a road blockage. By 3 PM on October 27th, the road management unit had filled the bridge with gravel to temporarily allow motorcycles and bicycles to pass. Traffic diversion plan: vehicles from Bac Tra My should follow National Highway 40B (for trucks under 10 tons) to Tam Ky, Da Nang, then to Quang Ngai and vice versa.
The Vietnam Road Administration announced that road management units have mobilized maximum manpower, equipment, and materials to work through the night with the highest determination to overcome and quickly reopen traffic at points blocked by floods and heavy rain.
