
Accordingly, the Forward Command Board consists of 29 people, located at the Defense Command Board of Region 3 - Tra My, headed by Colonel Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5. The task of the Forward Command Board is to command and operate the armed forces of the Military Region in coordination with contract units of the Ministry of National Defense and local authorities to deploy forces and means to support flood response, landslide recovery, and ensure safety for people.
The Command Board mobilized 19 vehicles of various types including command vehicles, Kamaz vehicles, information vehicles, tractors, excavators, bulldozers, vans and kitchen vehicles to overcome the landslide. The total force participating in the support was up to nearly 2,500 people, including 142 soldiers, 742 militia, 315 commune police and 1,254 shock forces for natural disaster prevention and control in the localities.
As of October 27, the recent floods and rains have caused landslides and severe flooding in many mountainous communes in Da Nang city such as Tra Leng, Tra Linh, Tra Tan, Tra Tap, Tra My, etc., forcing hundreds of households to evacuate.
