
Accordingly, the Forward Command Post, comprising 29 people, is located at the Command Post of Defense Area 3 - Tra My, headed by Colonel Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5. The Forward Command Post's nhiệm vụ is to command and direct the armed forces of Military Region 5 in coordination with contracted units of the Ministry of National Defense and local authorities to deploy forces and resources to support flood response, landslide remediation, and ensure the safety of the people.
The Command Center mobilized 19 vehicles of various types, including command vehicles, Kamaz trucks, communication vehicles, tractors, excavators, bulldozers, buses, and kitchen vehicles, to address the landslide. The total number of personnel involved reached nearly 2,500, including 142 soldiers, 742 militia members, 315 commune police officers, and 1,254 local disaster relief task force members.
As of October 27th, the heavy rains and floods in recent days have caused serious landslides and flooding in many mountainous communes in Da Nang city, such as Tra Leng, Tra Linh, Tra Tan, Tra Tap, and Tra My, forcing hundreds of households to evacuate.
