Diclofen is being recalled nationwide due to a level 2 quality violation.

The Drug Administration Department (Ministry of Health) has just issued a decision to recall nationwide a batch of Diclofenac enteric-coated tablets (Diclofenac sodium 50mg).

Accordingly, the recalled batch of medicine, bearing registration number VD-25150-16, batch 0040724, was manufactured by Pharmedic Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Materials Joint Stock Company on July 26, 2024, and has an expiration date of July 26, 2027. The batch was recalled because the authorities determined it did not meet quality standards regarding related impurities; this is a level 2 violation.

The Drug Administration Department has requested Pharmedic Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Products Joint Stock Company to immediately cease business operations and quarantine the remaining recalled batch of drugs at its facility; wholesale and retail establishments, as well as chain pharmacies, must cease business operations, supply, and distribution, and organize the recall and return of the drugs to the original supplier.

In addition, medical facilities and users of the recalled drugs must cease prescribing, selling, dispensing, and using the aforementioned recalled batch of drugs, and return the drugs to the supplier. The Departments of Health of provinces and centrally-administered cities are responsible for notifying and publicizing the drug recall information, and for inspecting and handling units that violate the regulations.

Previously, the Drug Administration also announced the suspension of circulation and recall of many cosmetic products nationwide from Zacy Cosmetics Co., Ltd. and Vimac Cosmetics Joint Stock Company.

Specifically, Zacy Cosmetics Co., Ltd. must recall 3 ASAP products (ASAP Radiance Serum, Mandelic Acid 3-In-1 Wash, 3% Mandelic Acid 3-In-1 Toner) and 1 BELLMONA TEA TREE MODELING MASK product; Vimac Cosmetics Joint Stock Company has its circulation suspended and 3 products recalled, including: smoothing shampoo, smoothing conditioner, and moisturizing shower gel…
