In October 2025, tourism activities in Lao Cai province continued to flourish, maintaining a stable growth momentum with impressive results in both the number of visitors and revenue, affirming the attraction and potential for sustainable development of local tourism.

During the month, the province welcomed over 689,800 visitors, including over 143,000 international visitors. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at VND2,677 billion.

In the first 10 months of 2025, Lao Cai is estimated to welcome about 9.4 million visitors, reaching 91.6% of the yearly plan. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at 38,878 billion VND, equal to 83.69% of the yearly plan (46,455 billion VND). Of which, the number of international visitors is estimated at about 1,195 million - a number that shows the growing attraction of Lao Cai on the international tourism map.

This result shows that Lao Cai tourism is recovering strongly thanks to the synchronous and flexible implementation of information, promotion, market development, human resources and tourism products. Tourist centers such as Sa Pa, Bac Ha, Bat Xat, Mu Cang Chai, Tu Le, Thac Ba Lake, etc. continue to be attractive destinations for domestic and foreign tourists.
