Developing children's talents

In recent years, the trend of letting children participate in classes to develop their artistic and sports talents has become increasingly popular. Many parents realize that discovering and nurturing their children's talents early on not only helps them to satisfy their passions but also contributes to promoting their strengths, forming confidence and dynamism in the process of growing up.

Minh Phuong has been passionate about dance since childhood.

Since childhood, Pham Minh Phuong - class 4H, Nguyen Trai Primary School ( Yen Bai ward, Lao Cai province) has shown a special talent for the arts of dancing, jumping and fashion shows. Realizing this passion, Phuong's family proactively registered their child to attend talent training classes at the children's center.

“I like modern dance the most because I get to move and learn new moves with my friends,” Minh Phuong shared. Outside of school, I often practice at home to relieve stress and practice my performance skills.

Ms. Phuong Thanh - Minh Phuong's mother said: "I want to create conditions for my child to have fun after stressful hours of studying. Learning to dance helps my child to be more active, agile and lively." For her, it is not only an art class, but also a time for her child to live according to his own interests and personality.

Like Minh Phuong, Vu Ngoc Thanh Tra, a 5A student at Nguyen Trai Primary School, also showed her passion for singing and fashion shows from a young age. After her family sent her to talent classes, Thanh Tra quickly improved and regularly participated in performances at cultural and artistic events at school and local level.

“I am very happy to sing, dance and perform on stage. Every time I stand under the lights, I feel much more confident” – Thanh Tra said.

According to Ms. Nguy Thi Hang Nga, Thanh Tra's mother, letting her child participate in talent classes brings many positive changes: "My child is more active, more lively and his ability to concentrate on studying has also improved significantly. Learning art helps my child know how to express emotions, increase self-confidence and the spirit of cooperation with friends."

Not only are artistic subjects focused on by parents, but sports such as table tennis, swimming, badminton, soccer, etc. are also increasingly chosen by many families for their children to study. Because through each training session, children not only improve their physical strength and flexibility, but also learn discipline, confidence and the ability to handle situations quickly in life.

At Pho Rang Table Tennis Club, Bao Yen Commune, for more than ten years, the sound of the ball bouncing regularly every day has become a familiar sound to many children here. The club currently has nearly 20 members, of which 12 are teenagers and children. Under the dedicated guidance of Mr. Vu Ngoc Thanh, Club Director, many children have found their passion and trained their spirit of perseverance and endurance.

Mr. Vu Ngoc Thanh shared: “Table tennis is a sport that requires perseverance and thinking. Children must practice diligently to improve their health, flexibility of eyes and hands and quick reflexes. This will help them become more perceptive in their studies and life.”

For Bui Hai Dang, a club member, table tennis is not only a favorite sport but also a companion that helps him become more confident every day. “After playing this sport for a while, I feel healthier, have faster reflexes and can do more difficult things than before,” Hai Dang shared.

In order to meet the needs of training and developing children’s talents, recently, in the communes and wards, many art and sports classes have been opened at centers, cultural houses, and children’s clubs. Diverse classes such as dancing, singing, drawing, playing instruments, martial arts, football, etc. attract a large number of students to participate.

Discovering talent from an early age helps children shine confidently.

Not only do these classes help students develop their strengths and nurture their passions, they are also a healthy environment to practice communication skills, teamwork and self-confidence.

Teacher Phuong Mai - Thuc Hanh Kindergarten (Yen Bai ward), believes that discovering and nurturing children's artistic talent early is of particular importance. "At preschool and primary school age, children have the ability to absorb very quickly and have rich imagination. If properly guided, it will be a solid foundation for sowing the seeds of art and developing a comprehensive personality," said Ms. Phuong Mai.

As material life is increasingly improved, children have more conditions to study and pursue their interests. Being exposed to art and sports from an early age helps them develop aesthetic thinking, practice perseverance and know how to feel the beauty in life. They are confident, happy and live their dreams to the fullest.
