"Having the opportunity to have our wedding photos taken at such a special location, we feel lucky. When we heard the audience applauding, we felt a little shy but also happy," Van Anh shared with a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper .
In early October, the couple officially got married after two years of dating. For them, the competition was what gave wings to their love story, leading to this sweet ending.
They fell in love almost 10 years after competing in the Olympia competition.
Van Anh recounted that in 2015, she and Quoc Huy competed in two different rounds of the "Road to Olympia" competition . At that time, Van Anh was eliminated in the weekly competition, while Quoc Huy excelled, advancing through the weekly and monthly rounds to participate in the quarterly competition.
One day, by chance, the girl from Quang Ninh watched a television program featuring Quoc Huy as a contestant. She was particularly impressed by the intelligent face and broad knowledge of the young man.
After the competition, the two became members of a community that brings together former contestants of the "Road to Olympia" competition .
When Van Anh went to Hanoi to study Law, she had the opportunity to meet Quoc Huy, a new student at the Hanoi University of Technology, at a reunion of former exam candidates. After that, due to their busy study schedules, the two rarely had the chance to talk.
In 2022, a trip to Hue with former contestants became a turning point in their relationship.
"That time, I happened to be assigned to a group with Quoc Huy, and we had more opportunities to talk. After the trip, my husband proactively messaged me to chat. I was quite indifferent because I hadn't thought about dating yet," the girl recalled.
After six months of chatting, Van Anh realized they shared many common views on life and future aspirations. She decided to open up and agree to meet Quoc Huy.
"Interacting with Quoc Huy, I found him mature and thoughtful, quite different from his bookish appearance. My husband's sense of humor and responsible way of life attracted me," Van Anh recalled.

A few months later, during a date, Quoc Huy took the initiative to confess his feelings to her. Being confessed to by a guy, Van Anh was flustered. She never thought that their close friendship would blossom into love in such a short time.
"At that time, I was quite hesitant about the relationship and wanted time to think. Everything happened so quickly, I was almost in shock," the girl confided.
While waiting for her answer, Quoc Huy expressed his feelings sincerely and intensely. His persistent pursuit and warm heart immediately touched the girl's heart.
"In December 2023, after attending a concert, I nodded and agreed to be Quoc Huy's girlfriend. He was so moved that he was speechless. To this day, my husband and I occasionally reminisce about that special moment," Van Anh expressed.
Hopefully, the children will become contestants in the future.
After two years of dating, Van Anh feels fortunate that their relationship has gone smoothly and has received support from both families.
Since they became a couple, she has increasingly appreciated Quoc Huy's maturity. He is not only a close friend but also provides a great deal of support to his wife in her work.
After graduating from university, Van Anh became a lawyer specializing in legal consulting for businesses, while Quoc Huy became an aerospace engineer.
"Our jobs seem unrelated, but with his sharp thinking ability, Quoc Huy knows how to offer timely ideas and advice. Many times, my husband has helped me overcome obstacles in both my work and my life," Van Anh shared.

Despite sharing similar views on life, she admitted that both she and her husband have distinct personalities, so disagreements are inevitable.
Instead of arguing and defending their personal viewpoints, which could damage their relationship, Van Anh and Quoc Huy chose calmness and understanding. When disagreements arise, the couple talks openly and honestly, finding solutions that strengthen their bond.
On April 30th, Quoc Huy officially proposed to Van Anh. Unlike other guys, he chose to express his feelings with sincere eyes and simple words, which moved his girlfriend to tears.
"On the very day of national reunification, when North and South were reunited, my husband wanted us to soon live together as a family," she shared.
Speaking about the wedding photos taken at the studio, Van Anh said that she and her husband came up with the idea themselves, then contacted the program's crew to ask for permission. After waiting for three months, they finally had the opportunity to create this special photo shoot.
Upon arriving at the studio, Van Anh was overwhelmed by the changes to the program. Standing on the contestant's platform, she felt like she was transported back to her carefree, innocent school days. In particular, the thoughtful welcome and warm affection from the crew deeply moved the couple.
Due to their busy work schedules, the couple has had little time to follow the "Road to Olympia" competition in recent years. However, Van Anh and her husband often make time to watch the exciting final rounds. They gather with other former contestants to watch, answer questions, and review their knowledge.

Starting their new life after marriage, Van Anh and Quoc Huy are determined to support each other in their work and work together to build a happy home.
"Thank you to the 'Road to Olympia' program for bringing us together. Thank you to the program's crew for helping us have our wedding photos taken in this place that holds memories of our youth . My husband and I hope that in the future, our children will have the opportunity to become contestants on the program. However, we believe in not putting pressure on them and respecting their choices," Van Anh said.
