Discussions at the conference affirmed that, based on the unwavering principles of independence and self-reliance, Vietnam's international integration process has been comprehensively and deeply implemented, ensuring the highest national interests and effectively serving the cause of national construction and defense. After nearly 40 years of reform, the size of the economy has increased nearly 100 times compared to 1986; Vietnam has become one of the 20 largest economies in terms of trade volume, among the top 20 countries attracting the most foreign investment, and among the top 10 countries with the largest remittances in the world. Vietnam has also built a broad network of foreign relations with 194 countries and established frameworks of relations with 43 partners at a comprehensive level or higher.
The seminar also analyzed the rapidly changing international context, with the world shifting towards a multipolar world and increasing strategic competition, profoundly impacting the security and development environment. In this context, Vietnam faces the challenge of harmonizing deep international integration with maintaining independence and self-reliance; proactively adapting to the new "rules of the game" of the evolving international order.
Based on practical experience and the requirements, delegates proposed many directions and solutions to effectively implement Resolution No. 59, contributing to enhancing Vietnam's international standing and prestige in the new development phase.
