Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh delivered the opening remarks for the program.
In his opening remarks, Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh shared that in the context of a world facing crisis and division, culture has become the foundation for affirming identity; culture is where beliefs are consolidated so that we can move forward steadily, contributing to the stability and sustainable development of the country and the world.
According to Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh, culture is the guiding light that helps us to have the right direction. Cultural diplomacy has actively contributed to enhancing soft power and promoting the image of Vietnam and its people to the world. The outstanding achievements in cultural diplomacy in recent times are a testament to Vietnam's efforts to contribute to the flow of human civilization.

Vietnamese Culture – Convergence and Dissemination
Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh also sent a meaningful message and best wishes for the New Year to the distinguished delegates and partners. The Permanent Deputy Minister emphasized that 2025 was a successful year with many important and noteworthy achievements; and expressed his hope that the upcoming year 2026 will open a new chapter with many positive changes.
In that spirit, the Permanent Deputy Minister called on all parties to continue working together, strengthening cooperation, and jointly striving towards the goal of building a peaceful , prosperous, and sustainably developed world.

Mr. Saadi Salama, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Vietnam and Head of the Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam, delivered a speech.

On behalf of the Department of International Cooperation, the agency in charge of foreign affairs of the Ministry, Director Nguyen Phuong Hoa shared, "We are proud to witness many first-time achievements as Vietnamese culture continues to develop strongly domestically and shine on the international stage. Vietnam is also gradually becoming a destination for artists and creators from all over the world, an inspiring space for creativity."
At the same time, Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa expressed her sincere gratitude to the Ambassadors, distinguished guests, and partner agencies for their valuable support and cooperation, and affirmed, "Together, we will continue to reach even greater heights."

The program "Vietnamese Culture - Convergence and Dissemination" honors the outstanding achievements in the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's cultural diplomacy work during the 2021-2025 period. This challenging five-year journey marks a core shift in leadership thinking: moving from "meeting and exchanging" to "genuine cooperation." Cultural diplomacy has consistently adhered to the principle of proactive international integration, transforming culture into a national strength, and has been implemented consistently in accordance with the Party's guidelines and resolutions and the State's policies.
Through this program, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism aims to spread the message of a Vietnamese culture that is rich in identity, creative, and integrated, while also expressing gratitude to domestic and international partners who have accompanied the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in cultural diplomacy activities at home and abroad in the past.

Delegates had the opportunity to experience the craft of making Dong Ho folk paintings as part of the event.
At the event, delegates had the opportunity to admire representative images of Vietnamese cities that have joined the UNESCO Creative Cities Network; learn about the Dong Ho folk painting craft – an intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent protection, which was recently inscribed by UNESCO on December 9, 2025; as well as the space showcasing Vietnam's participation at EXPO 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, with the prestigious awards that the Vietnam Pavilion has achieved.
The delegates also watched a documentary titled "Vietnamese Culture - Convergence and Dissemination," which looked back at the outstanding achievements in Vietnam's cultural diplomacy.

In particular, the artistic program throughout the event became an emotionally rich highlight, vividly recreating performances that had left a mark at diplomatic events both domestically and internationally.
The atmosphere in the auditorium seemed to quiet down as Taruki Sax, a Vietnamese artist, made a strong impression on Japanese audiences at EXPO 2025 Osaka. The exquisite and elegant performance of traditional Vietnamese costumes transported viewers back in time, allowing them to appreciate the aesthetic depth and cultural identity refined over centuries.

GOM Band's performance of ceramic instrument ensemble offers a unique experience, transforming familiar materials from traditional craft villages into a creative musical language. The rustic, raw yet rhythmically rich sounds from ceramic instruments not only evoke the depth of local culture but also showcase the innovative spirit of contemporary Vietnamese art.
Furthermore, traditional art forms such as Xam (a type of Vietnamese folk singing), puppetry, and folk music ensembles are elaborately staged, harmoniously combining tradition and innovation, contributing to showcasing the essence of Vietnamese culture in the context of integration. All of these elements contribute to presenting the finest aspects of Vietnamese culture within the contemporary creative landscape, conveying the image of a beautiful Vietnam, rich in identity and constantly striving for international integration.



Artistic performances.
The choral performance of "Heal the World" and "Feliz Navidad" by the Green Wind Choir, with the enthusiastic participation of Ambassadors and distinguished guests attending the event, created an emotionally rich atmosphere, spreading optimism and warmth.
The familiar melodies not only ignited faith and aspirations for the new year, but also contributed to strengthening bonds, sharing, and mutual understanding, leaving a positive impression on the participants and successfully concluding the program "Vietnamese Culture - Convergence and Dissemination".
