The project was carried out on Xeo Củi canal, in areas 3 and 4, Cai Rang ward, which is polluted by waste and water hyacinth, affecting the flow and urban beauty. Deployed from September 10 to October 20, 2025 with over 1,580 working days of union members, youth and residents, the project collected more than 30 tons of waste, costing about 286 million VND supported by local people, businesses and benefactors.
The project has an area of about 1,000 square meters, paved sidewalks, installed public exercise equipment and lighting, combined with weed clearing, planting flowers, trees... Thereby, creating a new, spacious, clean appearance in the areas and spreading the spirit of green living, green action, aiming to create a positive change in environmental protection awareness, prevent littering in the wrong places, contribute to building a civilized urban area, promote the movement against plastic waste in the area... At the same time, it demonstrates the spirit of initiative, volunteerism and social responsibility of the youth of the two units in joining hands with local authorities to build a green, sustainable living environment.
To maintain the long-term effectiveness of the project, Cai Rang Ward Youth Union has established a Youth Volunteer Team for Environmental Protection, including police union members and Cai Rang Ward union members, to coordinate in cleaning, tree care, propaganda, and mobilizing people to protect the environment...
