
With a total score of 1,711, this trio brought home the 31st gold medal for the Vietnamese sports delegation at the 33rd SEA Games, and also the first gold medal of the day. Trinh Thu Vinh successively led the individual qualifying rounds, making it into the top 8 to compete in the final of the women's 10m pistol individual event at 11:45 AM. These two athletes are also expected to bring home the next gold medal for Vietnamese shooting, especially Trinh Thu Vinh.

According to the competition schedule, the shooting competition at the 33rd SEA Games includes 30 events: 14 sport shooting events, 6 clay pigeon shooting events, and 10 applied shooting events. The Vietnamese shooting team aims to win 7 gold medals at this year's Games.
Previously, the core group of shooters from the Vietnamese shooting team traveled to South Korea for a 10-day training camp starting on November 21st. Among the trainees, two prominent figures are Pham Quang Huy and Trinh Thu Vinh – currently Vietnam's top shooters. Both are expected to achieve high results at the upcoming Southeast Asian Games.

According to Trinh Thu Vinh, she is maintaining stable form and a relaxed spirit ahead of this important training camp. “The athletes will make the most of their time in South Korea to improve their technique, mentality, and reflexes, ready for the 33rd SEA Games,” the 2000-born female shooter stated.
