In achieving these overall accomplishments, the City Cooperative Union has strived to fulfill its functions and duties, providing active support to the collective and cooperative economic sector.

Over the past period, the City's Cooperative Union has consistently worked alongside its members, gradually improving its organization and operational efficiency; achieving many results in supporting and promoting innovation in the collective economy and cooperatives. Through this, it has effectively fulfilled its function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members, becoming a solid foundation for the city's collective economic organizations.

Mr. Doan Ngoc Trung, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang Cooperative Union, noted that the city's collective and cooperative economic sector has seen positive changes in terms of form, quantity, and quality of operations. However, a major challenge for the collective economic sector now is how to expand its scale, become stronger, integrate technology, and participate deeply in the value chain.

To realize that goal, in the coming period, the Da Nang City Cooperative Union will implement a comprehensive set of support solutions for cooperatives. Accordingly, it will strengthen training and capacity building for cooperative officials to improve management and operational skills; promote the application of science and technology and digital transformation; and focus on forming new-style cooperatives with effective models capable of linking with businesses and markets.

The city has identified the development of the collective economy and cooperatives as one of its key strategic tasks in socio-economic development. Therefore, the City People's Committee will focus on strengthening the Steering Committee for Innovation and Development of the Collective Economy; issuing a plan for the development of the collective economy and cooperatives for the period 2026-2030... In particular, it will submit to the City People's Council a specialized resolution on mechanisms and policies to support the development of the collective economy and cooperatives for the period 2026-2030; and issue policies to support industrial promotion, trade promotion, digital transformation, etc., for the collective economic sector.

“With synchronized orientations and solutions, the Da Nang City Cooperative Union aims not only to develop the number of cooperatives, but also to improve their quality, competitiveness, and integration capabilities. This will promote the sustainable development of Da Nang's collective economy, making a practical contribution to the city's socio-economic growth,” Mr. Trung said.
