The project supports 20 poor households in Tra Doc commune to participate in a black pig breeding model, with a total of 100 piglets, each household receiving 5 piglets. In addition to the piglets, the households also receive supplementary feed, B40 mesh for pigpens, stainless steel feeders, and microbial products for environmental treatment, contributing to ensuring safe and efficient livestock farming.
According to Le Tuan An, Director of the Institute of Science, Technology and Environment, the project not only supports breeding stock but also focuses on raising awareness and improving livestock farming techniques for the people, gradually forming a production and consumption chain between cooperatives and livestock farmers. This will create a stable market, increase economic value, and maintain and develop the indigenous black pig breed to expand the model in the future.

The Tra My Agricultural, Forestry, Trade, and Comprehensive Service Development Cooperative is the unit that directly guides the technical process of livestock farming and guarantees the purchase of products from households. All breeding pigs are tagged with QR codes for traceability on the Institute's system, contributing to increased transparency and product value.
In addition, participating households received training in techniques for breeding black pigs, managing livestock waste, producing compost, and linking livestock farming along the value chain.
People expressed their hope that this support would gradually stabilize production, improve their living standards, and lead to sustainable poverty alleviation.
