The publishing market has recently seen the participation of many young writers exploring themes of family, homeland, and childhood memories. Notable examples include Làn, Lam, Hạ Mer, Thảo Thảo… and Doãn Hằng is one such writer.

Belonging to the 9X generation, Doãn Hằng doesn't pursue shocking or attention-grabbing topics, but instead gently recounts stories from the past. She recreates these stories in two works : "Coming Home to Eat a Bowl of Onion Porridge" (Literature Publishing House) and "Sleeping on the Embankment" (Labor Publishing House).

Her works often revolve around small glimpses of life, subtle emotions, and the healing journey of young people in modern society.

Originally published at the end of 2024, the collection of essays "Coming Home to Eat a Bowl of Onion Porridge " has recently been reprinted.
