At noon on December 14th, Mr. Nguyen Duc Toan, Chairman of the Quy Nhon Ward People's Committee, announced that the ward's police force, in coordination with the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police of Gia Lai province, had completely controlled and extinguished a fire that occurred at house number 33, 31st March Street (at the intersection with Tran Hung Dao Street, Block 16, Quy Nhon Ward).

The fire broke out at approximately 9:50 AM on the same day at the three-story house located at the aforementioned address. Initially, the flames erupted fiercely on the first floor, accompanied by numerous explosions, and thick black smoke billowed up, engulfing all three floors of the house and several neighboring houses and shops.

Upon receiving the report, authorities mobilized vehicles and personnel to the scene and implemented a firefighting plan. Because the fire was located in a densely populated area, firefighting efforts were carried out urgently, ensuring the safety of surrounding households. By approximately 10:15 AM, the fire was brought under control and completely extinguished.

The homeowner stated that the house was used as an office and was unoccupied, so there were no casualties. The homeowner had left about 10 minutes before the fire broke out. The initial assessment suggests the cause may have been an electrical short circuit.

Currently, relevant authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the cause of the fire and assess the damage.
