Dong Nai province provides over 200 aid packages to flood victims in Khanh Hoa province.

(Dong Nai) - On the afternoon of December 14th, the Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park), organized a visit and provided assistance to households affected by rain and floods in Bac Ai Dong commune, Khanh Hoa province.

At the People's Committee of Bac Ai Dong commune, the delegation presented 214 cash assistance packages, each worth 1 million VND, to households severely affected by the recent natural disaster. Bac Ai Dong is a mountainous commune with a population of approximately 9,400 people, of which ethnic minorities account for over 86%. The recent rains and floods caused serious damage to crops, livestock, and houses for over 60% of households in low-lying areas, leaving them facing significant hardship.

The timely distribution of aid has contributed to boosting morale and helping people gradually stabilize their lives and overcome the consequences of the natural disaster.

This is the final stop in the relief program, supporting people in the three provinces of Gia Lai, Dak Lak, and Khanh Hoa, organized and implemented by the Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross in coordination with TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company.

Over the course of three days, the program provided a total of 1,214 cash gifts, with a total budget of over 1.2 billion VND. Of this amount, residents of Van Canh commune (Gia Lai) received 400 million VND; Phu Hoa commune and Dong Hoa ward (Dak Lak) received 600 million VND; and Bac Ai Dong commune (Khanh Hoa) received 214 million VND.

The entire cost of this relief effort was contributed by the officers, employees, and workers of TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company, demonstrating their spirit of sharing and responsibility towards the community in jointly overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
