Training on food safety management for 300 people.

The Dak Lak Department of Industry and Trade recently organized a training course to disseminate knowledge on food safety to 300 civil servants in charge of state management of food safety in communes and wards, as well as representatives of organizations and individuals producing and trading food under the department's management.

In addition to theoretical knowledge, representatives from various units also participated in practical exercises and took exams to test their understanding of the Food Safety Law and relevant legal regulations on food safety under the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

According to representatives from the Department of Industry and Trade, Dak Lak province has strengths in agriculture , agricultural product processing, and food services. Therefore, ensuring food safety is of paramount importance, directly affecting public health, the reputation of the province's products, and the sustainable development of businesses and production and trading establishments.

In reality, violations of food safety regulations still occur; the awareness and skills of some food producers and businesses remain limited; and coordination among functional agencies is sometimes not truly synchronized.

The requirement is that businesses and food production and trading establishments need to continue to improve their professional capacity, update their knowledge of legal regulations, and strengthen their responsibility throughout the food supply chain.

Training and disseminating knowledge on food safety is a way for officials in the Industry and Trade sector, businesses, and establishments to grasp information, improve production processes, enhance product quality, comply with state standards and regulations, and contribute to enhancing the reputation and brand of food in Dak Lak province.
