Accordingly, on October 17, 2025, at the Government headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh chaired a meeting on the proposal to choose November 24 every year as "Vietnam Culture Day".
Attending the meeting were leaders of the Ministries and agencies: Culture, Sports and Tourism, Foreign Affairs, Government Office, Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission and Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; representatives of the Ministries and agencies: National Defense, Public Security, Justice, Home Affairs, Education and Training, Finance. After listening to the report of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the opinions of the delegates attending the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh concluded as follows:
Acknowledging the sense of responsibility and efforts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in promptly researching, preparing content and reporting under the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister. Appreciating the specific and responsible comments of representatives of relevant ministries and agencies attending the meeting.

Based on comments at the meeting, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presided over and coordinated with relevant ministries, agencies and organizations to continue reviewing, researching and completing the dossier, including:
Fully and appropriately absorb comments at the meeting; collect and synthesize written comments from relevant ministries, agencies and organizations.
Clarify the basis for the proposal in terms of politics, law and practice, clearly stating the application and use of relevant legal regulations to correctly determine the authority, dossier components, order and procedures.
Carefully assess the correlation with anniversaries, traditions, cultural responses and in other sectors and fields, recognized and regulated holidays and Tet.
Specifically assess the impact on many aspects, especially on the orientation of becoming a national holiday.
On that basis, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will complete the dossier and report to the Government and the Prime Minister before November 5, 2025.
Relevant departments, ministries, agencies and organizations proactively and actively coordinate closely with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the process of reviewing, researching and completing the above dossier.
