The 6th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, term 2025-2030: Elected 27 members for the new term

From October 27-28, in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism solemnly held the 4th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, term 2025-2030. Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy attended and delivered a speech.

Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Tuan Linh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry. On behalf of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, there was Ms. Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers. Overview of the Congress

The 4th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, term 2025 - 2030, was held to summarize the work of the Youth Union and youth movement of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the period 2022 - 2025, set out directions and tasks and elect the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Ministry for the term 2025 - 2030.

With the participation of 200 delegates, of which 137 delegates are members of the Executive Committee of the Ministry's Youth Union for the 2022-2027 term; delegates elected by affiliated Youth Union organizations and delegates appointed to represent more than 4,000 youth union members in the entire Youth Union, the Congress is an important political forum, a great festival of the youth of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, where the intelligence, emotions and enthusiasm of the Youth Union members converge and shine.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Ms. Le Minh Duc, member of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism affirmed that under the leadership of the Party and the State, and the attention of the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, more than 4,000 youth union members of the Ministry have been making important contributions to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, carrying out the mission of "Culture is the foundation - Information is the conduit - Sports is the strength - Tourism is the connecting bridge".

Quoting General Secretary To Lam's advice to youth union members on youth movements, linking union activities with expertise, and promoting youth to serve the country: "The maturity, sustainability, and even the destiny of the country depend greatly on the youth force and the young generation. Looking towards 2045, the important milestone of the 100th anniversary of the country's founding, we set a strategic goal of becoming a developed country with high income. To achieve that, Vietnam needs a young generation that is not only excellent in intelligence but also physically superior, rich in cultural identity, capable of competing and standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers, affirming the country's position in the international arena," Ms. Le Minh Duc affirmed that the 2025 - 2030 term will be the beginning of greater aspirations in the future.

"The Youth Union of the Ministry promises to continuously study, practice, be proactive, pioneer in digital transformation and be young cultural, sports and tourism ambassadors spreading cultural identity to international friends, proactively applying science and technology, digital transformation to preserve heritage, develop modern cultural, sports and tourism products, and keep up with global trends. Members of the Presidium of the Congress

The 4th Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, term 2025-2030, consists of 2 sessions. The first session of the Congress took place on October 27. After a period of urgent and serious work, promoting the wisdom of the youth, the Congress carried out the following contents: Electing the Presidium to run the Congress, electing the Secretariat; Approving the working program and working regulations of the Congress; The Congress listened to the Report on the results of the verification of the qualifications of delegates attending the Congress; Review report of the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, term III, term 2022-2027, submitted to the Congress for the term 2025-2030; Approving the report summarizing comments on the draft documents of the Congress of the Union at higher levels; Electing the Secretary, the Executive Committee of the 4th term, 2025-2030 term and electing the delegation to attend the 1st Congress of Government Delegates, 2025-2030 term.

The Congress elected 27 members of the Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, term IV, 2025-2030. Ms. Le Minh Duc was re-elected as Secretary of the Youth Union.

In the second working session taking place on the morning of October 28, the Congress listened to the Report on the results of the Youth Union and Youth Movement work for the 2022-2027 term; directions, tasks, and goals for the 2025-2030 term; and speeches and instructions from the leaders.

The Congress thoroughly grasped the guiding ideology of the Resolution of the Party Congress of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for the 2025-2030 term, the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and the direct and comprehensive leadership of the Party Committee, the Ministry's leaders, and the orientation and direction of the Government Youth Union.

In the spirit of democracy, innovation and creativity, the Congress has promoted intelligence and responsibility, affirming the vanguard spirit of cadres, union members and youth in contributing ideas and perfecting the documents of the Ministry Youth Union Congress, the documents of the 1st Government Youth Union Congress and the 13th National Youth Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Union activities need to be more closely linked to professional tasks, practical and effective.

Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy affirmed that the Congress is an important political event, a great festival for the youth of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In the past term, the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement has had many innovations and creativity, closely linked to the political tasks of the Ministry, notably the activities of the Youth Union associated with expertise, through which many young pioneers in innovation and creativity have achieved success and shined in various fields of activity, especially performing arts, sports competitions and many other activities and fields.

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy gave a speech at the Congress.

Emphasizing that the 2025 - 2030 period opens a new development period for the country in general, and for the Ministry and the culture, sports and tourism sector in particular, Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy said that this is a breakthrough period to realize the aspiration of a strong Vietnam, with comprehensive development in people, culture and national identity.

In that context, the Deputy Minister suggested that the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the new term focus on 5 key orientations including: Continuing to innovate the content and methods of operation of the Union, making the Union's activities more closely linked to professional tasks, practical, effective, avoiding formality; Strongly promoting the spirit of vanguard and creativity in digital transformation; Focusing on educating revolutionary ideals, ethics, cultural lifestyle, sense of responsibility and spirit of serving the people; Strengthening coordination with units and mass organizations inside and outside the Ministry; Paying attention to building a team of Union officials with courage, intelligence, digital skills and a professional, modern working style, meeting the requirements of the new period.

Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy and delegates awarded medals and certificates of merit to individuals with outstanding achievements.

Recognizing and appreciating the contributions of the youth of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Mr. Bui Hoang Tung, member of the Government Party Committee, Secretary of the Government Youth Union, affirmed that with the mission of spreading cultural values, demonstrating the spirit of integrated sports, promoting Vietnamese tourism and becoming a conduit of knowledge connecting trust. The programs and initiatives of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism have demonstrated the role of young cultural ambassadors.

The new Executive Committee was introduced to the Congress

Mr. Bui Hoang Tung expressed his hope that the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will focus on developing action plans and programs to both effectively implement the Youth Union movements and effectively contribute to the construction of an advanced Vietnamese culture imbued with national identity, and develop sustainable sports and tourism. In addition, the Youth Union movement needs to focus on improving the professional qualifications, creativity, self-study ability and dedication of youth union members. Develop a cultural and professional working environment, contributing to the overall development of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At the Congress, Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy and delegates awarded the "For the Young Generation" Medal of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to leaders, cadres of units, former leaders and cadres of the Youth Union; awarded Certificates of Merit to exemplary collectives and members of the Youth Union for the period 2022-2025.
