Masan's profits soar

Masan Group has just announced its financial report for the third quarter of 2025 with soaring profits.

On October 27, Masan Group Corporation (stock code MSN) announced its financial report for the third quarter of 2025 and the first 9 months of 2025. Accordingly, revenue in the third quarter of 2025 reached VND 21,164 billion, up 9.7% year-on-year on a comparable basis, and profit after tax reached VND 1,866 billion, 1.4 times higher than the same period last year.

In the first 9 months of this year, Masan achieved revenue of VND58,376 billion, up 8% year-on-year and profit after tax of VND4,468 billion, up 63.9% year-on-year and equivalent to completing more than 90% of the yearly plan. Growth was driven by strong profit performance at subsidiaries. Specifically, WinCommerce had revenue of VND28,459 billion in the first 9 months of the year, up 16.6% and profit after tax of VND243 billion, up VND447 billion year-on-year. Since the beginning of the year, WinCommerce has opened 464 stores, exceeding the base target and aiming to complete the high scenario by the end of the year. Notably, more than 80% of the total new stores have reached break-even point, consolidating its position as the most profitable modern retailer in Vietnam by point of sale scale, with approximately 4,500 stores expected nationwide by year-end.

In addition, Masan MEATLife achieved revenue of VND6,794 billion in the first 9 months of the year, up 24.7% year-on-year, and profit after tax of VND466 billion, up VND526 billion year-on-year thanks to continued efficient operations with increased sales volume across all segments (livestock, fresh meat and processed meat). Revenue growth came from both livestock (up 30.1% year-on-year) and meat (up 21.5% year-on-year), thanks to higher productivity and close coordination in the value chain with WinCommerce, helping to increase sales and optimize distribution.

Masan Consumer Corporation (stock code MCH) alone recorded revenue in the first 9 months of the year reaching VND 21,281 billion, down 3.1% year-on-year, and profit after tax reaching VND 4,660 billion, down 16.1% year-on-year due to the impact of the synchronous implementation of the "Direct Distribution" model nationwide in traditional sales channels. However, the results have recorded improvements month-on-month and quarter-on-quarter, creating momentum for growth in the following stages. As of the third quarter of 2025, the average number of operating points of sale reached 345,000, up 40% year-on-year. Sales efficiency has also improved, with the average number of products per order reaching 3.4 products, up 50% year-on-year, reflecting better sales quality and product structure. Notably, the average sales value per point of sale in the early stages has increased month by month, demonstrating increasingly effective sales productivity. In parallel, subsidiaries and members such as Masan High-Tech Materials and Techcombank also contributed profits to the high growth of the entire Masan Group...
