Lam Dong: Heavy rain causes flooding, cuts off National Highway 20

On the evening of October 27, the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh commune (Lam Dong province) urgently announced a response to the rising water situation in the area.

According to the People's Committee of Hiep Thanh Commune, due to heavy rains from upstream, floodwaters in the K'Ren, K'Long, and Dinh An villages are rising very high, potentially causing deep flooding, with a high risk of flash floods and landslides on slopes, passes, and streams.

According to records, National Highway 20 through Hiep Thanh commune is currently deeply flooded, and local authorities have also advised vehicles to limit traffic.

The People's Committee of Hiep Thanh Commune also informed local people to proactively move the elderly, children, property and livestock to high and safe places. At the same time, it is necessary to raise vigilance and limit travel in steep slopes, rivers, streams and mountain passes.
