On the evenings of the last days of October, the "residents" of Phu Quoc Sunset Town are excited about the rehearsal of the Ocean Symphony - a show that is considered a must-see when coming to Phu Quoc.

Even though only 60% of the full version of the show was performed, the rehearsal surprised the entire director team and audience at Sun Baravia GastroPub with its grandeur and appeal.

Water cannons, music , extreme sports performance art, laser lights, all painted the sky and ocean surface of Phu Quoc with breathtakingly beautiful pictures.

“It was many times more beautiful than last season’s show,” said Duy Anh, a businessman working in Phu Quoc who was lucky enough to be at the performance venue during the rehearsal.

The Symphony of the Sea show has been invested in by Sun Group on a large scale since 2024, in collaboration with H2O Events and Laservision - two leading manufacturers in the global fireworks and lighting industry. Compared to the first season, this return has been comprehensively upgraded in terms of performance technology, scale and artist lineup, bringing the audience a vivid and satisfying experience amidst the brilliant sea and sky of the Pearl Island.

At the Sunset Town Bay, 21 of the world's top Jetski, Jetsuft and Flyboard athletes showed off their top skills with modern upgraded LED performance costumes. In this year's upgraded version, the show's costumes were designed by Bao Rong - a famous costume design unit that has collaborated with international events and many big names such as director Zhang Yimou.

6 Jetski athletes practiced with high-speed "wave-splitting" and extremely sharp turns, leaving many people watching the practice session in awe. The flyboard "stars" performed many acrobatic stunts at a height of 15m with LED costumes and flares, creating "vivid cinematic footage" in the middle of the night sky.

Season 2 of the show brings together 21 of the world's top athletes. Among them are the return of familiar athletes from season 1: Kristina Isaeva - the world's number 1 Flyboard queen; Lee Sak Yoon - UAE Flyboard Competition Champion, Top 3 Flyboard World Cup 2024, and James Curtis - UK Jetski Freestyle Championship Champion.

In addition, many champions will be present in season 2 this year, including Anton Popov, three-time world champion in the Masters category at the Hydro Flight World Cup (2019–2020); Geoff Hulet - Current Canadian national Flyboard champion.

The highlight of this year's show lies in modern technology, with sound, light and laser systems designed by LaserVision - a globally renowned unit with water, sound and light performances, many of which have Guinness World Records such as the show "Imagine" at Dubai Festival City (Dubai) or "Wonder Full" at Marina Bay Sands (Singapore)...

This year's show will be specially designed by Mr. Shannon Brooks - Director of Laservision, promising to bring a more impressive performance than "Green Island Symphony" in Cat Ba - a show that was recognized by Guinness World Records, with its scale and beauty raised to a new level in the sea and sky of Phu Quoc.

For 20 minutes, the audience will be immersed in a "galaxy of light", with performance technology created from light, lasers and more than 750 fireworks and dozens of different effects from fireworks, water cannons, flares, Jetski cannons and kite cannons.

The entire performance blends world-famous music, with each rhythm meticulously calculated to synchronize with the movements of the athletes. The unique highlight of the show is the way Vietnamese culture is cleverly integrated with the international art space: kites flying on a fireworks background, flutes humming to the melody of "Mother Loves Child".

The Ocean Symphony show returns on November 1st and will be performed daily at 7:50 pm at the Sunset Town Bay. Sun Bavaria GastroPub Restaurant is a two-story sea-view stage with an open design, spacious mezzanine and high-ceiling glass frames providing panoramic views. Guests can enjoy a premium dinner while sipping Sun Kraft Beer, a craft beer produced right on the island, immersing themselves in the vibrant art space, creating an unforgettable experience on Sunset Bay.

Present at the restaurant on the night of the practice, Mr. Aleksey Tatarinov (37 years old, American tourist) could not hide his excitement: “The show was really impressive. I have never seen such a magnificent and eye-catching performance.”

The Kissing Bridge is the ideal spot to watch the entire show from above, where visitors can interact directly with the athletes, providing an unforgettable experience amidst the sea and sky of the Pearl Island.
