Following the success of the previous five seasons, the "Green Message" Contest returns for the 6th time with the desire to promote the communication movement about the environment and climate change in the student community.

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Son, Director of the Academy of Journalism and Communication delivered the opening speech.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the award ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Minh Son, Director of the Academy of Journalism and Communication, emphasized: “Green Message is not just a contest, it is an academic - creative - action journey of the student community of the Academy of Journalism and Communication, where knowledge is transformed into awareness, awareness is transformed into responsibility and responsibility leads to action for a sustainable future”.

This year, the Organizing Committee received 62 entries from 197 authors, including 4 categories: Television, radio, electronic/print newspapers, social media. The jury selected 12 outstanding entries to award 4 first prizes, 4 second prizes and 4 third prizes.

Specifically, the four first prizes include: The “guksu” guardians on Cat Ba Island (television category); podcast series: “Experience midwifery for sea turtles in Con Dao” (radio); The second journey of plastic (electronic/print newspaper); ATEEC project - Green fashion (social media).

Ms. Pham Thi Bich Nga, Project Manager at FES, commented that this year's entries are of good quality, with progress made each year over the past 6 years. "The students have approached new issues on climate change and environmental protection. I hope that they will not only stop at this contest but spread green messages more widely in the future," Ms. Nga added.

The competition not only creates a creative playground for students, but also contributes to raising awareness and quality of environmental journalism products. By encouraging students to express their views and solutions on environmental issues, the competition aims to spread the green message and promote practical actions for a sustainable future.
