During the training course, participants received instruction from folk artists and distinguished artists from the original Xoan singing groups on the history and cultural value of Xoan singing; performance skills in singing, dancing, and drumming; skills in practicing ancient Xoan songs belonging to the three stages of singing: worship songs, ritual songs, and festival songs (inviting the king, firecracker songs, abandoning the set, and fish-making songs); methods of combining traditional practices with modern promotion and communication requirements; and skills in creating artistic products to serve tourism , festivals, and cultural exchange activities.

After a week of learning and practicing, the students were able to sing the songs correctly in terms of pitch, duration, and rhythm; grasp the basics of dance movements, performance skills, and drum rhythm patterns.

At the closing ceremony, the trainees reported on their learning outcomes through performances of traditional and modern Xoan melodies, with diverse and rich performances reflecting the authentic colors of Xoan singing and folk songs, attracting enthusiastic participation from a large audience.

According to the Organizing Committee, the training course, which began on December 8th, is a practical activity aimed at enhancing responsibility for preserving and promoting the value of Phu Tho Xoan singing, which has been recognized by UNESCO as a representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

This is an opportunity to promote the role of artisans in providing knowledge and performance skills to artists to continue preserving, conserving, and promoting the value of Xoan singing heritage in the ancestral homeland .
At the same time, we will select and train talented students in performance skills to participate in promoting Xoan singing to tourists and audiences inside and outside the province.
