High concentration
Although the Indonesian women's team is considered significantly weaker, the Vietnamese women's team cannot afford to be complacent. The "Diamond Girls" must play with focus and strive for victory.

This is the first time in history that the Indonesian women's team has reached the semi-finals of a SEA Games. The team from the "land of a thousand islands" finished second in Group A, behind only host nation Thailand.
Reaching the semi-finals demonstrates the significant progress of Indonesian women's football in recent years. They possess a physically demanding, fast-paced style of play and are willing to employ a defensive counter-attacking strategy with a nothing-to-lose attitude.

With a convincing victory over Myanmar, the Vietnamese women's team proudly advanced to the semi-finals of the SEA Games 33.
That very psychological comfort could become a "weapon" that makes this team difficult for any opponent.
Indonesia's coach Akira Higashiyama said before the semi-final match: "We are here to make history. This is the first time the Indonesian women's team has reached the top four at the SEA Games."
Speaking about the semi-final match, I feel confident and relaxed. Vietnam is a very strong opponent; they have won the SEA Games many times and are a strong contender for the championship. We will try our best to play well in tomorrow's match and win.”
Determined to win
Entering the semi-finals, the Vietnamese women's team carries with them the experience and composure of a team with a rich tradition in the SEA Games arena.

Having overcome numerous challenges in the group stage, the girls in red have demonstrated consistency in their gameplay, the ability to control the game, and the fighting spirit befitting champions.
These crucial victories not only helped the team advance to the next round, but also created positive momentum ahead of the pivotal match of the tournament.
Coach Mai Duc Chung said: “We will face Indonesia in the semi-finals, and this promises to be a good match. Indonesia is a team that has improved quickly; compared to the team we met at the AFF Cup in Hai Phong , they have changed a lot. In particular, the naturalized players have brought new energy to them.”
This is good progress, but we need to be cautious. I respect our opponents and will focus all my efforts on this match.”
For the Vietnamese women's national team, the biggest lesson learned from knockout matches is that they must never be complacent.

The pressure of a semi-final match, along with the high expectations from the fans, can be a double-edged sword if the players don't maintain their composure.
The coaching staff will certainly instruct the entire team to approach the game cautiously, play tightly and patiently, and avoid unnecessary mistakes in defense.
Before kick-off, the team's message was clear: respect the opponent, play with focus, and give your best in every play.
Only by maintaining the utmost seriousness and determination can the Vietnamese women's team overcome Indonesia and take another solid step on the path to conquering glory at the 33rd SEA Games.
Coach Mai Duc Chung affirmed: "I know Indonesia has naturalized players. We have also studied our opponent and will have a strategy to deal with their tall and strong players."
We will press high, utilize our best abilities, and play in top form. Even though our opponent has many naturalized players, I believe Vietnam will win.”
