In the first set, the two teams fiercely contested, befitting a major match. The turning point came in the second half when Nhu Quynh's powerful serves helped the Vietnamese girls pull ahead, pushing the Philippines into a stalemate with a score of 17, before ultimately winning 25-17.
In the second set, Thanh Thuy and the Vietnamese girls gave the Philippines no chance to create any difficulties. The Vietnamese women's team played dominantly and won convincingly 25-14 to take a 2-0 lead.
Building on their momentum, the Vietnamese women's team focused on a quick, decisive attack and finished the third set with a score of 25-17.
With a convincing 3-0 victory over the Philippines (25-17, 25-14, 25-17), the Vietnamese women's team has secured their place in the final, competing for the SEA Games 33 gold medal tomorrow, December 15th.
Thanh Thuy and her teammates will face the winner of the second semi-final match between host nation Thailand and Indonesia.
