The youngest Vietnamese athlete to win a gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games.
At the age of 16, Tran Hoang Khoi (born in 2009), an 11th-grade student, won the gold medal in the men's singles event at the 33rd SEA Games, attracting attention by overcoming many experienced bowlers in the region.
At Southeast Asia's biggest sporting event, Hoang Khoi entered the competition as the youngest athlete in his category. However, age did not affect his performance. Previously, Tran Hoang Khoi had already attracted the attention of experts. In 2022, at the age of 12, Hoang Khoi won the U.13 Thailand Open, a tournament that brought together many young athletes in the region.
